Dell inspiron 9300 lights up for 5 sec.it turns off

the beeps are a code to tell a technician what has gone wrong
take it to a repair shop and have the problem diagnosed and get a quote .

Download, install and run Malwarebytes (link below) and remove anything it finds ( just follow the prompts)

it seems to be a no post situvation, call dell and give lock indicators code, its surely an hard ware issue, based on the lock indicators the component must be changed. if in warranty your system parts will be replaced

Usually this issue isn't repairable, but is fixable by replacing the screen. This can cost from $75-$200 for parts depending on your model alone.

There are a couple on E-Bay for about $100-$125 for your model. I would recommend finding someone that has experience replacing computer monitors.

Sounds like your hardrive is starting to fail-backup all files!!!

try this...take out battery for a couple of minutes..rub it with your hands...gets rid of static build up, sounds funny but it worked for me!

I have experienced simular issues with Dell laptops. I was told that my motherboard had a short circuit. My redemy wa to replace the motherboard.

See if the hard drive needs to be defraged. You can do that by going to computer, selecting your hard drive with the mouse. Press the right mouse button and select properties. Select tools. Select defragmentation.

Is this locked with a bios or Windows password, and is this a new or used machine?
