Battery probably needs to replaced, if you put in the battery and ac adapter, HP will give you message battery health not good, require replacement. Or if you see the battery icon in windows, it may say battery needs replacement even though it says charging.

Sounds like a dead battery. After 2 years battery degrades and cant push as much power through. Sounds like load is too much for battery to handle. Replace battery or upgrade your computer. I suggest Asus laptops.

SOURCE: Now some time last year

These devices are more like cellphones. You charge it when it needed some charging. Once full, you remove it from the main plug and use the battery. If you do otherwise, it'll shorten the lifespan of the battery.

Running programs themselves do not directly cause damage to the physical device. They may form as one of the elements that can cause, say your processor to work harder and therefore needing more power from the battery. But apart from that I think it's wrong to say that programs themselves were the caused of the battery failure.

SOURCE: Hi guys, I have big problems with my computer.

Hi,
Considering the change in time and date,I would suggest you replace the CMOS battery. This battery helps in memory storage of your PC.
Have you tried the charger on another PC maybe?Try it,and if it fails replace it.
Remove the hard disk and re-fix it again.

Hope this helps.Thanks!

SOURCE: blinking white amber light above power cord

The power supply is the issue, or the DC jack in the laptop has developed bad connections, or ram issue. Remove 1 stick of ram and power on, if no! remove second one, and replace the first, power up, if no! test the power supply for proper voltage, if okay! it is a DC jack or motherboard problem.

SOURCE: my computer wont puck up any wireless connections it doesnt even show the adapter anymore i don't know what happened can anyone help??

Could be an error with the wireless assistant or maybe a corrupt wifi driver. The following link is for the HP wireless assistant, try downloading and installing it:
http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=41965100331997a97689ea2d723

This is the link for HP support where you can try downloading a new wifi driver. You will need to know what wifi adapter is installed to get the correct driver:

Only BLINKING COLOURS LIKE RED WHITE BLACK

If the problem is with laptop monitor, try restarting the computer. If problem remains, try connecting your laptop to external monitor to see if problem is with laptop monitor or with display adapter.

If picture also like this with external monitor and with laptops own monitor after reboot, possible HW issue can be expected.

Latitude 510 battery light flashing amber and white

Hello, the problem you are having is caused by a loose connection on your motherboard between the charging port and the motherboard. You can either open your computer and try to solder it, or you will need to replace the motherboard.

Another possible cause is that your laptop charger is dead. If you can't confirm, just get a new ac adapter, it is much cheaper than replacing the motherboard:

I have a Sony VAIO GRZ610, old i know. Won't power up,

If you cannot get the laptop working then try this method.
Remove the hard drive and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter and then plug this adapter into a working computer's USB port. If this computer sees this as an USB mass storage device (external hard drive) and you can open the various folders and files, then you can backup and or transfer your data to another computer. If yiu install the hard drive in an USB hard drive case then you can use this hard drive as an external USB hard drive.

HP Pavilon dv6910us Entertainment PC Defective ac adapter connection? ac port?

Sounds like your Internal DC Power Jack is broken. It has to be repaired or eventually it will completely break and you won't be able to boot after the battery drains. It calls for taking your laptop apart since it is on the motherboard or sits in a slot on the motherboard. Most times it is soldered on the motherboard. You have to unsolder the old and solder a new on it it's place.

My dell inspiron mini 10 won't boot. There is just a flash of white light then a flash of amber light when I press the power button. That's it, nothing else.

Remove the main battery and try again, also! the power adapter charger should be checked for correct voltage, if okay! pull one stick of ram and test, and the second piece not forgetting to put the first one back and power up, if all this fails you will need to get it assessed.

Power/battery problem

hi, try removing the batt press and hold the power down for 1 minute, dont replace battery yet, plug in charger, boot up then shut down. replace battery and boot.
if this fails you could also try changing your power settings in control panel. change to minimal power managment.
remove the adapter while laptop is on and allow to completly drain(untill it switches off)
then try reboot.
