I have the same exact problem. Has anyone had theirs repaired, I was wondering how much it cost to fix? Thanks, Ron

Power on ... charging condensators ... after very short delay:enters std.by-mode with blinking LED.

Prior to the issue; Exposed to some heavy use in a 5.1 speaker configuration, though working after this.

B-Speakers also connected though not engaged while incident occurred.

Schematic for this with measurepoints and reference voltages -anyone?

I forgot why i put the receiver in the closet: its "power off" mood swings.  I've noticed that when the stand-by light is flashing, it's in one of it's moods.  Once light stops flashing, e.g. three days later, the receiver will work... for awhile.

My Denon AVR-1600 amp simply shut off last night.  Came back on for awhile then quit again.  Power light still on.  Any ideas?  Should I fix or trash?

There is a problem with one or both of the audio amp circuits. The amp is going into a protect mode as to protect and save your speakers. Sorry but there is no simple fix. this will need to go to the shop to be diagnoised. Good Luck

I have an Onkyo TX-SR501 reciever/home theater amp. The sound works fine in home theater mode, but no sound when FM mode selected, but fine in AM mode. Have checked Antenna.

Hi Anil, please make sure the the receiver is locked into the station. It should read FM Stereo when locked in. Thank you, Onkyo USA

Keep blowing fuses.

Possible that there is a short and is much related to the power section or the output driver. You can isolate the outputs , remove the speakers and check to see the power drain current using a series clamp meter. If the current drain is high then the power section must be checked.

I got an Onkyo amp- TX-SR674, don't know why i turn on it but after 2 seconds, it will switch off and standby light is flashing, can many times. Please help

If the stand by red light starts blinking after 4 seconds of switching On it indicates an output short circuit. In all probability one of the Amplifiers output stage is defective and to prevent speaker damage the protection circuit is getting activated in 4 seconds. You will need professional help to fix this.

TX-DS575 reciever

Normally you hear a clicking sound coming from the inside when you turn on your amp. That's the sound of the magnetic circuit breaker (switch). If you tap your amp to turn it on, and if the amp gets turned on after you did it:), then I suppose the problem is on the relevant switch.

No Sound

Called Onkyo and here is the solution they gave me.

1. Turn on unit.

2. Press and hold VIDEO 1 button.

3. While pressing VIDEO 1, press Speaker A button.

4. You should see "CLEAR" on the display for a second and it will go on stand-by mode.
.
5. Turn on the unit and check if sound is back.
