SOURCE: need password override for ipod touch

Well you could try jailbreaking it that should wipe the ipod and give u a fresh start. Take into consideration though that it will erase everything

Ipod touch is locked forgot password cant unlock
plug it into your computer and through itunes on your original computer you will be able to reset it. If it is not the original computer that you are using you will be able to reset it but will probably lose the information on it.

If you forgot your iPod Touch password the only solution is to wipe and restore your last backup.

Apple Knowledge Base Regarding lost passwords

Instructions from Apple Support Document (Page 110)
Restore iPod touch from a backup:
  1. Connect iPod touch to the computer you normally sync with.
  2. In iTunes, select iPod touch in the sidebar and click the Summary tab.
  3. Click Restore to reinstall the iPod touch software, restore its default settings, and delete data stored on iPod touch. In iTunes, you can also restore from a backup without deleting data stored on iPod touch.

FORGOT iPOD PASSWORD
connect it to itunes and do a reset and then restore your music etc and it should be fine - there is no way that I am aware of to recover it aside from resetting / restoring your ipod

hold home for 5 seconds do not let go and put in your usb connecter and it should be in recovery mode and wanting to be conneected to itunes
