The buzzing noise happens only during the wash cycle; not the rinse or fill. I'm suspecting from what I read before that it may be something clogged in the sump impeller/motor? I don't have a clue how to disassemble and clear the obstruction. Is it worth it. I am somewhat handy to give it a go.
There is a nice repair guide with videos that provides troubleshooting steps and instructions for your dishwasher here:

Check the brackets that hold the top rack for any broken plastic brackets. My dishwasher was making the same noise and after noticing the broken plastic pieces I pulled out the dishwasher put it on its side removed a white panel on the bottom that is attached with two screws, removed the drain line and inside there were two plastic tabs from the broken bracket. Once those were removed the grinding noise stopped. The bracket holding the drain hose can be removed with a pair of pliers.

Hello, Welcome to FixYa. I read your post and having changed a few of those myself and since you asked for "ideas" I do have an idea that comes to mind but first I need to know, are you attempting to snap the stainless steel ring under the filter ? Is that indeed what you are referring to ? In my experience and according to my samsung service manual, that piece must go in before or at the same time as the mesh filter assembly, but it wont go in after...not sure if you knew that so I'll watch for your reply and go from there...if need be. Hi If the water inlet
valve is fine and it fills with water then the issue seems to be with the float
switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found
inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher
lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for
the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby
shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may
interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to
test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and
touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either
zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down
on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If
the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for
further assistance. Daniel
