Calendar creator is proprietary, i.e., it only recognizes paper stock, size, finish, etc., in it's catalog. If your printer isn't set up correctly, CC throws an error...

HP C7280 wont print custom size card stock 7.25 x10.25 wont feed or paper jam, however will print when fed on the left side but no guide to keep paper straight. how to correct this issue, Ive cleaned

Your question does not provide all the information necessary to absolutely resolve the issue. By now I suspect you've already resolved the issue or given up. Perhaps someone can use this info.

Need to know: Operating System (Windows 95/98/Vista/XP/7/8), Application (Word, Paint, Firefox, etc), type of job (jpg, pdf, text, etc.)

There is no short answer possible; but, I may be able to help with a generic answer. I can't help on Apple but I suspect it's the same as Windows, (and Unix, Linux, OS2, etc.).

Provided the Printer works proper on normal 8 ½ x 11 stock (print media) then it is not a printer or Queue issue unless it is just confused. As a printer technician I have seen this resolved by rebooting the machine(s) and trying to print again. If that doesn't resolve the issue you need to know:

The application you send the print job from tells the Queue what stock (letter, legal, card, envelope etc) to expect. The Queue, a component of all versions of Windows, is created when the printer is initially installed on the computer. The Queue holds print jobs and then sends them on to the printer when the printer tells the Queue it is ready. Some applications are more robust allowing more options than others. However, printing from inside a browser is frequently sketchy. If you're printing from an application that is different from the one that created it you may face an issue of the printer not getting the correct stock information.

Very Important: First before you attempt to send the print job check the settings in the app to insure your job has the right paper stock selected. Then, as you prepare to send the job from the app to the Queue before you hit the final "Print" button, check the "Paper Source/Size/Media" boxes in the "Printer Properties" to make sure your sending the right stock information. If that doesn't fix it; try to save your project in a format readable by another application and try to print it from the other app.

Note: 1. Print jobs are served to the printer by the Queue one at a time on a FIFO (First In First Out) basis. Sometimes print jobs get hung up in the Queue. A hung print job will block all subsequent jobs until the hung job is cleared. When a print job is sent and nothing happens (no printer activity or error messages on the screen.) look in the System Tray for a printer icon. Open it up and see if there are any jobs hung. If so cancel them and start afresh. This may require a reboot.
2. Print Queues can (rarely) become corrupt and must be deleted and rebuilt.

There are still variables too numerous to mention.

Whew! I've never tried to help resolve this issue in a post. Good Luck!

Calendar Creator is not supported for Windows 8 at this time. Even the newest version which is 12 is not supported fo Windows 8. You could try running it in compatability mode however.

Right click the Icon and select "troubleshoot compatability"

Hope this helps!

If you can get to the cd and explore it, open the NT Setup folder. Then open the DAO folder. Open Disk 1 folder and run setup.exe. Then try running the program. It worked for me after I had the same error.

Datamax prints ten or so labels then skips one (leaves it blank) then continues on

First check the sensor is free of any label debris. Then follow instructions below:

Standard Calibration is appropriate for most media types. During the process, the printhead assembly can be raised for visual access to the media and media sensor. In addition, displayed sensor readings can be used to indicate the best position over the media, which is helpful when using small, position-critical TOF notches or marks.

Three readings are required:

.No Media

.Lable Backing

.Backing plus lable

I have an HP Photosmart A646 printer that I bought in the hopes of printing to 5x7 card stock. We have pre-printed card stock that we use for gift certificates and we need to be able to feed the card stock...

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

Depending on the program you are using to print your gift certificates, try this-

1) Open the program and open the file you use for your gift certificate.
2) Click on 'Layout' then 'Page Set Up' (probably found in the top menu bar by the right side of, FILE.)
3) Select 'Landscape' and then select, 'Custom'.
4) Enter 5x7 for height and width.
5) Enter the information you need in the data field, (ie, name address, etc.)
6) Select, Print.
7) When the 'Print Manager' box opens, click on, 'Properties'.
8) Click on, 'Type' and choose, "Envelope'.
9) Click on, 'Size' and choose 5x7. - and click, OK.

Your printer should have a slide where the paper is inserted. Place one of the 5x7 cards in the slot just as you would an envelope and slide the slider until it is 'close' to the card but not directly against the card.

Click, 'Print'. The printer should recognize the card (due to its thickness) as an envelope and print it.

E3 on LED paperwill not feed

    Hello,

What you want to do is remove all paper, the prepare to run a print test page or print a blank sheet from some program, any program. Just be ready to do this.

Now, find a magazine cover or index card stock, something firm. Cut this magazine cover to the same width as regular paper 8 1/2 in the US or A4 in Eurpoe.

Now, when you start the print job, push the magazine cover or index stock through while its printing. Apply pressure it the key, to getting the thicker paper through.

This will clear the sensors in the printer and remove the error message.

Why did this happen? In the printer, there are numerous sensors to identify jammed paper. This can happen for the strangest reasons. By pushing thicker paper through while feeding paper by running a print job, the thicker paper forces the sensors back to their original position.

    Regards,
    Worldvet
