The symbols should be explained in your owners manual. The symbol could mean that the key you are using is not recognized by the controller as being the correct key. I think this would not allow the vehicle to start at all. Are you using a key that is a copy obtained from anywhere besides a Jeep dealer? The keys have a chip in them that must be programmed by the dealer. If you are using the correct key, I would have the SKIM module checked.

oil pressure problem should be checked independently of other problems...Use a good accurate mechanical gauge to check. If pressure is good (no less than 15psi at idle hot (I prefer to see at least 20) check dash grounding, block ground and if OK, change sending unit. Dash and body ground can influence operation of shift and body control modules so indirectly your problem may or may not be related, depending upon what you find while testing. And it could turn out to be a defective module! They are expensive and just plugging new ones in may work, but then again, it might not. I might be totally incorrect on this...that's the value of actually being there instead of doing this by "remote control".
If you read the numerous posts pertaining to all vehicles, you will see that you are not alone with electrical problems...As long as the engineers who design this stuff, keep using "modules" to replace ordinary simple and reliable systems, we will continue to have these problems. Do some testing and I'm sure you will find a solution! (I'm still waiting for someone to make a program for a PC that will give a complete readout of every system in a vehicle, including exact faults instead of general system "suggestions")
Good luck

If you still have the pop off cover for the fuse box the amperage and position (number) along with the purpose served by each fuse is stamped on that cover.

SOURCE: Very rough idle on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition V8

If you haven't changed the plugs or had the fuel system cleaned, now would be a good time to do it. The number 1 culprit for rough idles is dirty injectors or plugs. You can try an injector cleaner in a can (or bottle) for under $10 and see if it helps, and then work from there. If there isn't any improvement then if you are able to, check the plugs for any gunky buildup and if you find a bad plug, make sure you replace them all (or have them replaced) at the same time.

SOURCE: 1994 jeep grand Cherokee limited......stalling

Hi, You may have a defective ignition coil or a glooged fuel filter and/or fuel pump. it is hard for me to say at this point. What is the fuel pressure? Are there any trouble codes pulled from the PCM?

Key wont turn - to turn the car on...

The key needs to be replaced. Sometimes, not all, for some reason the key is not detected and your vehicle will not start. If you have a spare try it, if not you will need to go to dealership.

Does my Jeep have an alarm installed?

If you did not get the Remote Chances are No. Even if it does it would Be very tough to Get a Remote for a System that has no Remote. Most of the Companies will not issue you an Extra Remote for the System if you do not have one already since this is what the Thieves do to get remotes to Resell the Units. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!
