remember to set the bluetooth device properties visible to other devices and just turn the bluetooth on u know where it is in windows , then prepare a link by ur laptop or pc switch on the laptop bluetooth and then also set visible to other devices in properties and then try to send any file thru right click and then try to search for devices from laptop when u find dopod 838 try to connect for pairing use just 0 on both sides and finish sending thats it

Have you tried a hard reset?
(Hold in the power button why pressing the stylus in the reset button on the bottom of the phone)

the same thing happend to me but if ixed it


what you do is go to the shops and buy and small screw driver and on the back of the slidyout bit there is two screws tighten them up a bit and that fixes the prob

the dopod 838 is a real pain in that all the screws loosen themselves up. just tighten them up and they should start working again
