I got motorola photon 4g from japan, i unlocked it. initially the phone did not provide support for sms, i updated the phone software and then i was able to send sms. But after some days sms again got blocked, i am not able to send text messages. I have also tried resetting my phone to factory settings. Can someone plz help, i am too irritated with this problem.
For sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ...

I had this same problem and called Motorola for support. The solution is to clear text/mms message inbox and outbox. The default setting on my phone was to never clear the inbox but I changed that to remove messages when they are 10 days old, I have not experienced the problem since.

erase your inbox and outbox messages. Change the settings to remove messge after 10 days or less.

and then text setup
and the number that comes up seems to need to have a +44 at the start instead of a 0...
