This amp turns on fine but no sound comes out of it i dont see anything wrong with the inputs or the outputs by the way the sub is a kicker L7 12. I also have a 1 farad capacitor and 4awg cable.

Double check all of your fuses and make sure they are the corrects AMP. Other than that it sounds like the speaker wires came loose somewhere along the line. check on the subs and behind the deck. hope this helps
If this is a powered sub then it's most likely the internal amp inside it that has failed. It's more than likely the part that works the hardest on the board. IE the main amp semicoductor.
There are really only two possibilities here. If you have the gain turned up too high then your amp will get over worked and will go into protect mode. It is a safety feature. You should never really have the gain at much over 50% up. If you have to consistently run it higher than that you are overworking your amp and it will either shut down to protect itself or you will fry it.
It sounds like the output transistors have failed.
Disconnect everything from the amp except for the B+, ground and remote and turn the amp on. If it goes into protect, the amp is in need of repair.
