I am having a similar problem but I have had the wii fit board since August and it has worked great. I have not used it in December and when I went to use it this morning I put new batteries in it and it just flashes blue and won't stay on long enough to read. Hope someone can help.

Ok I feel a little silly, there is a sync button on the console (inside the flap by the power on button) and the board (inside the battery compartment on the underside of the board) as soon as I pressed them at the same time it worked. Goodluck everyone.

I have posted the solution above, there are TWO SYNC buttons, one on the console next to the power on button and one on the board where the batteries go inside. Press both and it works no need to replace batteries unless of course they have run out!!!!

After I posted about my wii---my husband unpluged everything and re-synced (spelling?) everthing again---remotes too. Put new batteries in the board first before syncing---and then it worked fine and has been ever since. Thanks

New crown compatible wii fitness board will not sync with wii console. board only blinks a few times then switches off

Have new crown compatible fitness board, new batteries inserted, inserted Wii fitness disc, choose training, then trial, choose hula hoop game, used remote press A to start.

Screen says place me on a flat floor and press POWER button before stepping onto me

Followed the instructions power button flashes blue, as do the four corners then the lights go out - then nothing happening, still have the same message place flat on floor etc....

Have also tried the Wii Balance Board Check - followed all instructions last one says please turn on power. Pressed button flashes blue as do four corners then they go out

Am I doing something wrong or Is this a faulty board ?

Thanks

I have just put new batteries into my wii fit balance board and now it will not power on

Is the light flashing when you push the button? you could try syncing the balance board by holding the red button where you put the batteries and holding the red button on the front of the wii. If the light doesn't turn on at all, I don't know :(

Wii remote wont work after installing wii fit

From Nintendo:
  1. Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into the wall outlet.

  2. Turnthe power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and Safetyscreen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find ared button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15seconds. This will clear all the syncs on the Wii, allowing you to geta clean start to begin the process described below.

  3. After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:

    1. Withthe first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on theback of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below thebatteries.

    2. Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote will blink.

    3. Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console (picture).

    4. When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).
    5. This sync procedure (steps "a" through "d" above) must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to the system.
