I recieved my zune about 5 days ago and it was working fine. I charged it once when I got it and a second time after the battery died. When the battery died for the first time, I thought it was strange that it hadn't of lasted that long without charge, it lasted about 5 hours. Then yesterday it said that it had low battery but I kept on listening to it for a far amount of time. After a while, I was in the car and I had it on my lap and I was sitting in the front seat, In direct sun light. The music stopped playing and I thought it just died. Then when I got home I tried to turn it on and nothing was happening; all I saw was a black screen. I tried charging it, opening up the zune software, reseting it, putting it to sleep, but nothing happened. I think it has been over heated by the sun or when i got the zune there was something wrong with the battery. Could someone help me try and figure this out or should i just get it repaired or get a new one?
Listen everyone this is what happened to me and what I did. Let the battery drain completely (unplugged from computer). It usually takes 5 to 6 hours to drain completely.
Then plug back in and hold the back and down button at the same time. Zune should resume functioning afterwards. All that is needed is a recharge.

My zune 80gb won't charge. Not working.
My 80 GB zune won't boot up even when i connect it to the computer or the adaptor. Microsoft want's to charge me $159 to send it to them to repair and they may send me a refurb as a replacement. NOT GONNA DO IT!!! That is over half of what i paid for it.
i am having the same problem can someone please help
Last night my zune battery died. When I looked at the 'low battery' screen the picture was slightly fuzzy in places.
When I went to charge it, the screen was not working. The back light comes on, but no picture. Also, it will still play music, it's just the screen which doesn't work. Please can anyone help?????!
And I can't send it to microsoft as I got my zune off e-bay (I live in england) and therefore don't have a warranty. :(
