Install a Logitech cordless mouse on my desktop computer

Install the software and then try to use the desktop set and check if it works or not. If not then try it on another computer in the same way by installing the software and check.

For that make sure your cordless mouse driver installed.
For that right click on my computer then click on proeperty then click on hardware->device manager.
Then make sure there you see all driver list.
Find your cordless mouse driverr and uninstall it then reinstall.If it is not there then install driver.
Also remove cordless software from start menu->control panel->add remove program.
Then reinstall driver from disk it comes with cordless mouse when you bought it.

yes you can use your mouse with laptop to.
For that you need usb wireless or bluetooth dongle for connect wireless mouse to laptop.
Then install cordless mouse driver in laptop then it works fine.

Yes, you need to install the Logitech transmitter for your cordless mouse. The acer transmitter uses a different frequency. You could try pressing the connect button on both the existing transmitter and mouse but that's not likely to work with different manufacturers.

Do you have the piece that plugs into the computers usb port and changed the batteries, or charged it, I have a logitec on 2 machines, you either have a receiver that plugs into the laptop/desktop, or a device that takes up to 3 wirelwss accesories that plugs into the usb port, they both take batteries in the mouse and keyboard. you can download the software for your keyboard on the logitevh wesite, at www.logitech.com

try to plug it into another USB port, then let the system read the device for a while (around 10 mins). if still not working, you can test your new VX mouse into different laptop just to make sure it is not defective,.

You didn't say what model it was, so this is general. If it doesn't work, comment back, before rating, with the specific model and I will be more detailed.

Make sure you have good batteries in the mouse.

Plug the receiver into a usb port. try to keep it as close to the mouse as possible. There should be a small connect button on the receiver. Press it. Then there should be a small connect button on (under) the mouse. Press it. The mouse should begin working.

in short Yes. however let me explain something. You must leave the wifi connector for the one you are using plugged into your computer, and you must install the drivers for the nano mouse, and leave its wifi connector plugged in as well. this is very simple. The reason for leaving both wifi connectors connected to the computer is because one will allow your keyboard to input data and the other will alow you to move your mouse. the only problem that i know of in this situation is interfearence between the mouse and the keyboard being on different Frequency channels however I dont think you will have this issue.
