How do I get to standby mode?

I have no instructions for getting to the standby mode.
Everything  setting requires I start in the standby mode.

There are three modes — standby mode, radio mode or CD mode. To enter CD mode, press the power button and then the CD button. To enter radio mode, press the power button and then the radio button. To enter standby mode, press the power button. 
If you're in standby mode and press the time set button, the clock digits will blink. If they don't blink, you aren't in standby mode.

Hi. The clock can only be set in STANDBY mode, which is time flashing, if it's not flashing, power off, then on. In standby mode, press and hold STORE, then use the arrows to set the hours and minutes. Then STORE again to set.

If only demo mode is playing,it's mean set is in standby mode.Normally
in standby mode it can't be operated.You have to power on the set by pressing power botton during demo mode.Once it gets power on,it will
start to work according to user required function.If the set not get power on after pressing power botton,then it's an electrical problem
and need to visit your nearby repairing centre.

Monitor stuck in standby..?

* Did the beeps go away when adding the new video card?

* Have you booted in "Safe Mode" (Press F8 before Windows starts).
In safe there are at least two options:

option - delete all the video adapter drivers then add the new one

option - change video adapter driver to Standard VGA

[If needed, write back for more instructions.]

* Also make & model of: computer (or motherboard) & monitor

Can't Get Camera off Standby

may be the rec mode button is set at the anti grounding..usually at sony camera there are 3 switch mode the 5 sec mode, anti grounding and other and always use is the start and stop mode...this switch is located at the side of the camera...

Clock

First - turn off stereo(standby mode) To set "timer" start and stop times, simply press the "Mode/Remain" button until the Timer's "On" or "Off" is selected. Then proceed to the following instructions. To set clock, press "Memory" then "CD - Tuner - Skip" arrows to set hours. Press "Memory" again to set minutes, and again to finish.
