've Tried installing Lan drivers for ECS 945GCT-M/1333 Motherboard - v3.0 and it seems to not have worked as i still cant connect to the internet...so is there another lan driver for this board that actually works? I've tried googling lan drivers for this board only keep finding the same driver and if that driver is not working for me what else can i do? Didn't realise ESC had horrible support for there drivers and do not even supply all the drivers....now isn't that insane!!! After I install the Lan Drivers it saying please shutdown and plug Realtek PCI card to complete the installation!!! This seems to not be for onboard LAN but for a LAN PCI Card!!! And this is the only LAN Driver for Windows XP that ESC Website provides!!!......what the hell!!!

Hi dadynidhen, there is another way to install the LAN driver & that is through windows system properties. Find the yellow question mark again & follow the instructions below.
Right click once on the yellow question mark, a window will open & Left click once on “update driver”. Windows hardware wizard will open. Click No, not at this time. Than click the next button. Another window will open. Left click once in the circle next to, Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Than click the next button. Again, another window will open. We want to remove the green check mark next to, Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...). Left click on the green check mark once & it will go away.
Click the browse button, click the + sign next to my computer. Find the folder in your system that holds the 32bit LAN driver. High-light the 32bit folder by left clicking on it once. Than click OK.
Windows will see the driver files & install the driver. Once done restart the system. Run windows update service. There may be an update for the LAN driver.
Good luck!
Mike

Go into the BIOS and make sure that onboard lan is enabled.
Testimonial: "Thanks gotgeek2. I already did all that, trouble was with the downloads from ECS site. Once i got a good chipset driver file the problem was solved."
I see what you mean, ECS say's it's a Realtek device. Then Realtek driver site keeps looping the XP links. In any case, I finaly found a good link. Here is the zip link.

They are newer than those posted on ECS, and if this does not work you should consider buying a new PCI NIC.
Good Luck
