SOURCE: I have a Husqvarna yth2348 lawn tractor. It starts fine, but

You didn't mention how long it worked with the new battery so here are a couple of things to try. Using your car/truck and a set of jumper cables if you have them, see if it will start, just be sure that they are hooked up properly.
Use a volt meter and test the battery. It should have at least 12 volts. Get the engine started and at full throttle, again test the battery, it should be showing 13 to 14 volts indicating that it is charging. If not, your charging system is the culprit. If charging system is good, then it may well be the starter, Remove the starter and take it to a lawnmower repair shop or do-it-yourself auto parts store and have it checked. The starters are VERY expensive depending on the brand of the engine so you want to be certain that it is bad before buying a new one.
If all this is good and/or it sounds like the engine makes about a half of a turn before bogging down and not starting, it could well be that your valves need adjusting or in worst case scenario, your automatic compression release inside the engine has failed

SOURCE: Husqvarna yth2448 pto switch kills motor/battery will not charge

you may hav a bad alt. problem with the mower dying when you engage the pto is most likley a bad sensor or wire unplugged on the seat sensor.the way it works is if the blades are turning and it dosent sense you being on the seat the mower shuts down.this has been standard on mowers for quite a few years now. it keeps the blades from cutting you up if you fall off the seat while mowing. as for charging i would try cleaning the battery connections and get the battery checked first.

try unplugging the pto then start the mower next engage the blades and see if the fuse blows if it does the problem lies in the mowers wiring if not the problem lies in the pto. hope this helps

SOURCE: husqvarna yth2348 keeps blowing fuses as soon as

You have a dead short in the circuit for that fuse. Check for a pinched wire, or a wire rubbed thru a touching metal.

SOURCE: blades making a bad noise

Well I would say you have a bent blade, a blade has a loose connection to the bottom of the mandrel, or a mandrel bearing is going out. Visual inspection will reveal much, just look under the deck. A bad mandrel may appear to have "runout" when viewed from the top while spinning as contrasted with a good mandrel. Viewing the one in the center while deck is working is going to be a challenge. If you decide to replace a mandrel, do yourself a favor and take a picture of the deck belt before you take it off so you know how it goes back on.

Husqvarna YTH2348 when clutch pedal is released, something grinds below and makes a lot of noise, but tractor does move.

Not sure what is going on here, these machines do not have a clutch as such, it will be a idler pulley that is pulled onto the back of the belt to tention it thus taking the drive to the hydro unit, so it may be a simple idler pulley replacment, or slave pulley replacement, with the hydro in neutral have somebody sit in the seat and work the pedal whilst you look under neath and watch what is happening.

My Husqvarna YTH2348 tractor won't start. Nothing

It could be a couple of different things. A couple of things that you can check yourself before having to take it to someone to look at it:

1. Open the hood and try turning the engine by spinning the round "cheese grater" looking part that is attached to the flywheel. - it probably won't turn.

2. Remove the spark plug(s) and try again. (Be careful, if the the cylinder is full of gas/oil it will come out as you spin it by hand.) - DO NOT use the electric start to try and turn it over! This sends spark to the plug wire and could ignite any fuel causing severe burns and/or other serious injuries.

-IF-

You were unable to spin the engine over by hand without the spark plug(s) in it, then you may be dealing with anything from a wedged starter gear to a seized engine. Fuel with ethanol added to it attacks the rubber/neoprene seals in carburetors and often times allows fuel to fill the crankcase and cylinder. If this has happened the above mentioned plan of action will let you know. As always, anytime the fuel mixes with the engine oil, you should change the oil to prevent the engine from locking up under normal operation.

I hope this gives you a little bit direction. =)

Husqvarna riding lawn mower will only click once but not turn over when key is turned on. Replaced battery but no help. What are some possible solutions

If you have a pair of jumper cables, connect one of the red clamps to the battery positive, then using the remaining clamp, touch the post on the starter and see if the starter turns over the engine.
Make sure the key is turned off and the transmission is in neutral.
Let me know if it turns over and we can go from there.
