    Hi Pravin

    It happens with every tape.
The head cleaning tape was not tight at all.
What is the fix for gear timing problem?

The problems does sound like one of the tape loading arms that is to blame as the fuzzy picture that usually occurs in the first place is due to the tape not being loaded at the correct angle round the head drum and finally after a few more loads and when when one or more teeth actually become parted from the cog that does the loading, the machine does a mis-load stopping the reels for long enough to make both hall effect sensors stop pulsing and subsequently tells the micro that there is no tape present so it ejects the cassette. The loading arms are available as two parts left and right,it is usually only one that fails however ,I think the left one if I can remember and are available from SEME LTD or Panasonic. Sorry dont have the part numbers .

Is it only the Head cleaning cassette which keeps getting ejected, or is it happening with every tape you insert? Was the Head Cleaning Tape a little tight in the Cassette compartment? Did you have to put some pressure to push it in or did it come out with difficulty? From your symptoms, it looks like there is a gear timing problem with the cassette loading compartment gears. It could also be due to some obstruction inside. try shaking the VCR, and if you are hearing some noise, Open cover and check for foreign objects.

Handycam CCD-TRV70 Hi8 camcorder. Why is it suddenly playing all tapes fuzzy, with no audio?

The record / playback heads probably need cleaning, using a compatible cleaning tape. Failing that, it is either damaged or broken.

Suddenly tapes won't play on VHS/HDD/DVD recorder.I get a 'no signal' message.

You may have a head alignment issue with your machine. This is a basic repair. Contact an electronics repair shop and have them quote you. They usually will charge you a diagnostics fee as a minimum.

No picture but has sound in VHS, Both work in DVD play

The main cause of this is a dirty video head. You can get a head cleaning tape that will clean the head. Or you can do it manually. But you have to take off the top cover and spray the video head with Servisol Video 40. Allow it to dry and test the machine. If it doesn't do it the first time or the picture is breaking up, clean again.

most of these units use two sets of video heads on the drum===one set for sp/slp and another for lp;

Get someone to open it up and carefully wipe the video heads----You Tube used to have video instructions for this, pretty simple stuff.

Cleaning tapes never work---if cleaning does not correct it---you have a bad video head.

The picture on the video when I do playback get's fuzzy n snowy sometimes and other times the camcorder will eject the tape without me asking to, sometimes during recording.

You have two problem, Heads need to be cleaned or there are bad capacitors in the video line from the heads. Also your eject switch is bad or you may get lucky and be able to clean it with contact cleaner. The vtr and cam switches may be going out also . I have had to change all three before.

Fuzzy picture

The tape is not adjusted to cylinder head. Both the sound and picture is lost when the tape is not exact on the wheel (head). If the camera has not been used for a long time then can the adjustable pins start to rotate and change the position of the tape when it is used again. The oil has dried out and the pin is not running smoothly, and the screw starts to rotate as well.
So, the solution.
a) remove the plastic cover so you can see the two pins that pulls out the tape from the cassette.
b ) small droop of oil on the top of the two pins
c ) use a small screwdriver to change positions of the tape, by turning screw on the top of the pins.
Put in the tape again and test , thus you have to do small adjustments. Repeat the test until you see the picture.

This is simple but it will take some time. I have now saved all old films, it is hard to find a old video-8 analog camera ....
