it should be on the bottom edge when you open the cover to access the Cd's and if you still cant find it just unplug the changer unit for about 5mins then plug back in. generally a rest interrupts the main power connection when it is pushed
if you still have the owners manual look in the back of it for the remote model number. go to www.sony.com and look under support for parts and accessories. use the model number of the cd changer to find the accessory list.
You may be able to download a copy of the manuel for free from the Emerson web sight, but normally, most web sights that offer manuels, charge for them. As for the remote, you should be able to find a standard universal that will program to the unit. If you want a factory remote, you may also order it on line at the Emerson sight. Good Luck

Have the same problem only mine does it on all slots. It appears the finger which removes the disk from the tray does not slide foward to "pick" the disk. Don't know why, tried to pull it and it will not move foward I was hoping this sight might have some sort of exploded view of the linkages but doesn't.
