If the grinder does not run when turned on, make sure power is on to the outlet, then check the electrical cord.
If the grinder runs intermittently or doesn't stop, the switch may be clogged or damaged. Unplug the grinder and brush any grounds from the switch with a fine brush. Depress the switch several times with a toothpick. If the problem persists, disassemble the grinder to clean it and inspect the switch for breaks that you can fix.
If the grinder does not run, the motor shaft may be frozen. Disassemble the grinder, clean the shaft and lubricate each bearing point with one or two drops of lightweight machine oil. Rotate the shaft to evenly distribute the oil.

Grinder is not working. Makes a clicking sound

There is probably a stone jamming the grinding teeth. You need to take the top off the grinder and pick/vacuum everything out of in the grinding department. The top of the grinder has the stationary grinding teeth attached to it.

EA6935 krups powdered coffee inside grinder and coffee grounds noncompact

You will need to pull the grinder apart & clean it out. Most likely cause of the grinder blocking up is a leak somewhere inside the machine dampening the grounds as they exit the grinder. They bind up, won't fall out and there is your blockage. You will need to find and fix the leak, there are many, many places for the leak to be, it's a job for a Krups Service Agent. I have outer housings with cutouts in them so I can run them and look inside at the same time to find those troublesome leaks.

Grinder seems jammed....rather than grinding, it hums as if stuck

Dismantle the grinder, you may have a stone in it, a very common cause of jammed grinders.

How do you change the blade? I bought a new one but can't get the old one off. Thanks

    • 1 Unplug your Krups grinder from the wall.
    • 2 Remove the grinder's lid, and use a cloth to wipe out the inside of the grinder chamber.
    • 3 Put your safety gloves on and then grasp the blade of the grinder with your channel locks.
    • 4 Use the pliers to turn the plastic fastening nut to the left as you continue to hold the blade with the channel locks. Once the plastic nut comes loose, twist it off by hand and remove it, along with the plastic washer beneath it and the old blade.
    • 5 Set the new blade in place, and replace the washer and nut. You will have to hold the new blade in place with the channel locks as you tighten the securing nut.
Things You'll Need
  • Cloth
  • Safety gloves
  • Channel locks
