See this causes and fix it. God bless you
Lights come on, but can not program unit, Touchpad dead If you have a stuck key or non-responsive key, most of the time you will have to replace the keypad for this microwave oven repair. If your keypad is connected to your control board by a flat ribbon wire, try disconnecting it and clean the silver contacts with an ordinary pencil eraser. After cleaning, plug it back in and try it. If it doesn't fix it, replace the keypad unit. Some units actually have keypad tests to confirm your diagnosis of a bad key.
If your keypad and control is the same unit, replace that unit. Another note, unlike stove/oven keypads and controls, most microwaves do not have error codes or tests to distinguish whether it is truely the keypad or control. Most of the time, it is the keypad that needs replacing, but a small percentage of the time it can be the control. Check the tech sheet if they can point you to the right part.

Sounds like you have a shorting membrane keypad, or there any be moisture or grease in the controls.
To remove the controller to check for grease and moisture, see the video here.

My microwave keypad wont work the light is on and the reading says please touch clock and set time of dry

SEE THIS CAUSES AND FIX IT. God bless you
Touchpad and Control Panel If the microwave buttons don't work the touchpad and control panel assembly are probably defective.

Touchpad If the microwave buttons don't work the touchpad might be at fault. Generally speaking, if the display is working and some of the buttons respond correctly but some don't, the problem is with the touchpad.
ser Control and Display Board If the microwave buttons don't work the main control board is most likely defective and will need to be replaced.

Main Control Board If the microwave buttons don't work the main control board is most likely defective and will need to be replaced.

A small blinking light on the left upper corner of panel after a power outage and I can't do any command. The interior lights don't even come on when opening door. I already reset the breaker

Unplug the microwave oven for 10 minutes in a attempt to reset the microprocessor ic, press and hold the start button for the same time and release. Now plug everything back in hopes it will restart, if no change! the keypad control board will need to be replaced along with other unknown parts, due to the nature of damage far cheaper to replace.

SOME PAD FUNCTIONS DON'T WORK

Your keypad seems to be worn. You can order a new one by model off the internet and aren't that hard to replace. Just be careful.

Microwave started beeping and shows F3. Light is on inside but when you touch buttons nothing happens.

F3 means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

Depending on the model number, you may have to peel off and replace the membrane keypad, or you may be able to replace the entire control panel frame, which has a new keypad already.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

If you would like to have us do this repair for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs nationwide.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

I have a two year old GE JVM1540 Over the oven microwave. For some reason the keypad does not respond to any touch. It just has the display panel scrolls press start but doesn't allow any action.

These units are known for this problem. You cook on stove and stream gets into keypad causing keypad not to respond anymore. The good news is keypad can be replaced, the bad news is it will happen again and the keypad costs around $125. GE will not admit to any problem, but I see this problem alot. You can get a new keypad at appliancepartspros.com
