Where can i get a display panel for a sony ta-ve110

Did inserting the headphone Jack cut the speakers off before it stopped working? If it did then you should look at the headphone jack socket inside the unit. The terminals could be either bent out of shape, broken or just dirty.

Looks like you need some rca cables to connect the outputs from the e731 to the inputs of the n731. There is also a small 4-pin control cable that connects the units. It probably tells the amp when the pre-amp is on. You may be able to do that manually if you can't find the cable. Or you may be able to make your own cable if you can identify the connectors.

Have you check your sound configuration at front panel?

If your TV has audio outputs of any description, connect the V box to the TV via SCART and then connect the TV's audio output to your AV amp. This will allow you to use the amp to listen to the Virgin box's output being displayed on the TV. If you want to listen to mp3, connect the MP3 playing device to the AV amp. Select this source rather than t he source being used for the TV's audio. THe video output of the V box will still be displayed on the TV while you use the amp to play audio sourced via a different input on the amp.

Display Panel Problem....

my Onkyo TX-SR805 AV receiver works properly except No Display on the front panel.

I follow the instruction troubleshooting on the manual by resetting the unit but to no avail. It's beyond warranty period.

also replace Q108 @ Q109 on power board. If that does not fix it then also replace PH101 & PH102. Also on Power board.

Het is al een paar weken verder, maar ik ben eruit: C161 en C162 (100uF/35V) in de voeding zijn slecht.

wel 105 graden elco's gebruiken en hoger dan 35 volt, liefst 100v

et gaat dus om een VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) die geen gloeispanning krijgt. Het vervangen van C161 en C162 lost het probleem helemaal op.

Symptome=Tuner-Display zeigt nichts an, sonst Tuner OK.
Defekt=C161 und C162 (100µF,35 V) auf der Tunerplatine ersetzen.

Wenn bei dem Sony-Tuner RDS EON ST-EX100 (z.B. zu der Anlage Sony MHC-EX5, aber auch MHC-EX 70) pünktlich eine Woche nach Ende der Garantiezeit die Beleuchtung im Display wegfällt und man deshalb leider keine Sender mehr programmieren kann, dann handelt es sich vermutlich um eine fiese Soll-Bruchstelle.

Auf der Platine des Tuners sind zwei Kondensatoren zu schwach ausgelegt und gehen zwangsweise früher oder später kaputt. Die Reparatur ist ganz einfach. Man kauft zwei neue Kondensatoren (100µF,35 V) - kosten nur ein paar Cent! - und besorgt sich einen Lötkolben. Dann schraubt man den Tuner auf, entfernt auf der Platine die Kondensatoren C161 und C162 (die sind namentlich gekennzeichnet) und ersetzt sie durch die neuen.

an amp of this size generates alot of heat internally when in use as these use mosfet ICs and can get very hot.
your problem is most definately dry solder joints and possibly quite a few at that.
i've repaired quite a few sony surround receivers with similar problems and have all been down to dry solder joints.
