White spots come up on LG Plsama TV screen

It's possible that there is an issue with either the backlighting which illuminates your screen, or the CCFL Lamp cover (reflectors) may have fallen off inside the tv, which is common with LG. These components work to provide lighting to the LCD display, without them you'd need an external light source in order to be able to see anything on screen (similar to a cheap child's electronic toy on which you can't see the screen unless there's a light turned on in the room). If the problem is the backlighting, that's attached to the actual screen of the tv and there's a 50/50 chance of damaging the screen by trying to replace it. Hopefully, it's just the reflector that can be resecured with a bit of care, by an experienced technician. Without looking at your tv directly, there's no way to know exactly what's wrong, as I'm not a tv repair tech. If you're under warranty, it would be worth it to get it fixed. If you're out of warranty, you may want to start budgeting for a new tv.

The white spots are pixels that are burned out. They will just gradually get worse. You will need a new screen or just replace the whole TV. Probably buy a new one for what it will cost to get a new screen put in it.

most likely a bad power supply but you will need someone to check it who understands this type of circut it may be just the supply but it may also be another fualt that cuased this part to fail. so its a bit technical. you can also get a lg specific model tv service manual and check "no power" fualt area troubleshooting tips. hope this helps
