I think its the fact that the speakers are pretty tiny, even tho BOSE has proved that size doesnt matter. i will agree i have a descent size home and i have to max it out all the time to watch a movie
just a design flaw IMHO.

hehehe, its funny problem. let me try to help you.
1- Press Power to turn the set ON.
2- select DVD function.
3- press STOP and EJECT buttons for Five (5) Seconds.
4- the message UNLOCKED will display.

2 options comes in my mind...
Put software upgrading CD manually in player and let it finish software upgrade process.
If this trick doesn't work, you need to replace digital process board or need to replace on board ROM, if you can.

hii, my sony hcd gn 255d dvd deck recever has problem wen power on after like ten sec it gose to eject then standbay what sis the problem,
every time you press power on it will state well ten sec letter it says eject then iwill press again iwill say eject it goes to standbay again what is problem.
