Sansa fuze: music shows on computer screen, but not fuze screen

Music files loaded onto the fuze show as being there on the fuze's computer display, but then do not show up as being on the fuze's screen. So that music can't be selected to listen to. These music files are on a Macbook 10.5.1 that has been transferred to the fuze. The fuze drag and drop directions for loading say to open windows explorer, which isn't on this computer. But should that be a problem? or is there a way to do this without opening windows explorer?

SOURCE: will not show songs

This player has a USB and an MTP mode- the most annoying fetaure ever invented on mp3 players.

You can switch your player between USB and MTP mode only if your player is connected to Windows XP machine and Windows Media Player 10. When the player is connected to your Windows XP machine, pressing the M button on your player will switch your player between USB and MTP mode.

Hi.
I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at http://e.hbpl.org and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

Can't load music onto my SanDisk Sanza Fuze Mp3 player

Itunes is what is known as proprietary software.
Which basically means that it only works with hardware of the same brand. (Apple- Ipod)
You will not be able Itunes to load mp3 files on a Sansa MP3 player.

When i turn my sansa fuze on it says "not enough space for music db please free 90mb"and turns back off..how am i able to get it to wrk again?

Hello,

When the player is rearranging playlists of the music database, it is possible that there's not enough memory left in the player to finish the task.
Connect the player with your computer to delete some files, at least 90 MB, off the Fuze to make it work again.
When not having a backup of the songs, save them onto the computer first.

Here's the support site for Sandisk Sansa Fuze:

I don't know how to download music on my sansa fuze (4GB)

On your Sansa Fuze, go to the "Settings" menu, then go to "System Settings", then go to "USB Mode", then select "MSC".

Now, connect it to your computer, then double-click "My Computer" on your computer's desktop to run Windows Explorer. You should see your Sansa Fuze show up as "SANSA FUZE". Double click on "SANSA FUZE", and you should see a folder called "MUSIC". Copy your music into that folder. When done, unplug your Fuze and your music will be on it.

Sansa Fuze MP3 Player - it is loading pictures to

Is it Loading Album Art? If this is the case, I don't think you'll be able to to stop it, Album art is typically very tiny in file size, and should have negligable impact on your available space. If it is syncing automatically to a folder, try moving any pictures in that folder somewhere else. This can probably be done with Album art as well, but you'll need to turn on the Setting "Show all Files (Including Hidden and System Files) in the Folder Options Dialogue box.

Mp3 files dont show up in sansa fuze music folder, but exist.on the player. when i run the player, it works fine all the music is there and no problems when i connect it to my computer to add/remove files...

With my Sansa Clip I just have to make sure it is set to MSC, then I can always see the files in the Clip from my computer. I transfer a lot of mp3 files to the Sansa Clip from a SmartCard with a Memorex TravelSync connected to both the Clip and a SmartCard reader. Initially, I couldn't figure out how I could play them on the Clip but not see them when connected to a computer. But when I set the USB Mode to MSC, I could see all the files.

Deleting files from Sansa e250

The only way I know to delete music files or voice or FM recordings, is straight from the User's manual on the CD: 1. Set the e250 to MSC mode. 2. Plug it in to your computer with the USB connector. 3. Open the Sansa e250 drive in My Computer and browse to the MUSIC folder (or RECORD folder)and delete the files there. (That's where you also add music files, by dragging from other explorer windows.) To delete (or add) photo and video files, you have to use the Media Converter, which you install from the disk that came with the e250.
