L button doesn't work, can't get thru spectrobes tutorial?

My son has a nintendo ds lite, the L button won't work, the R button works fine. He can't get thru the tutorial on a new game. Any suggestions? Is this a reoccuring issue, any quick fixes?

The more I researched, I found someone who suggested giving it a good blow. It sounds weird but lock your lips around the button and blow a couple times, any random stuff will probably break loose. Hey, gross I know, but it worked.

I would suggest to go to Fred Meyer or an equivalant store and go to the electronics section. Find a new DS Lite battery.

Nintendo ds only plays certain games.

try, Buying an action replay

put the game INSIDE the action replay. then when it comes to the main menu hit "start"(if it works your son/daughter also has cool cheats!) and if that doesnt work try calling nintendo
