Random Pictures?!??! My 6 megapixel Sanyo Xacti has always worked before, yet (starting last night)randomly decided to take rapid-fire flash pictures. It doesn't turn off now- the second it turns on, it starts taking flash pictures, so to turn it off, you need to tear out the battery. What should I do?

Nope- no "odd mode" here- this is just a drawback of such a crappy design.

SUCCESS! Next to the power button there is a little grey button- push it and your problems are solved! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look for a small opening to insert a pin. many companies offer this hole as a way to reset the micro-controller. insert the pin during power up

Well i have a Sanyo J1 Xacti Digital camera and i lost the CD with the software to download the pictures from camera to Computer. Is there any site where i can get download it? Thanks

Try Sanyo.com - look for support button.

Most newer computers with newer operating systems will detect a camera/camcorder when connected to USB. Have you tried it without the disk?

I have an older Xacti that records to SD card. You can use a flash card reader to transfer files without Sanyo software.

Red eye on sanyo digital camera xacti, always theres a red eye when taking pictures,i already adjusted everything, still occuring red eye.

Do you mean your subject's eyes are showing "redeye"? This is a common problem with cameras that have the flash very close to the lens. Almost every photo editing program has a tool to remove red-eye. Check your computer to see what you have installed. In the future, most cameras have a red-eye flash setting which shoots a short flash before the main flash to close down the pupils in your subjects eyes to eliminate red-eye. You could also turn up the lights in the room...sometimes that helps.

The pictures on my camera come out fuzzy most of the time but not always. How do I fix this?

Take a couple of test shots with your camera mounted on a tripod or a very firm surface. Are the pictures better?

All my pictures are either blurred or dark.the flash used to work but it doesnt work any more.i dont know if you can help?

Almost certainly the pictures are dark and blurred because the flash doesn't work. These cameras are not worth repairing, generally, so either just use it in daylight or get another one - and don't buy Sanyo. Canon, HP, Panasonic, Samsung are better.

Sanyo Xacti HD2 Flip Flash Not flashing

Hmm...I can't find a software control either. When the flash is down there is a cross through the lightening mark in the upper left portion of the screen, and when I press the flash button and raise the flash the same lightening mark in the upper left has no cross through it. Do you have the same mark? Does the flash button have no effect upon the mark?
