Click the Windows "Start" button in the bottom-left corner of your desktop. Scroll up and click "Control Panel." Choose the "Mouse" icon or type "Mouse" in the field in the upper-right corner. Click the "Enter" button and then click the "Mouse" link. Press the "Hardware" tab or the tab to the right of it that specifies the type of touch pad you have. If you are under the "Hardware" tab, highlight the touch pad in the list of devices and click the "Enable" button. If you are under the touch pad tab, click the enable button.

Press the "Tab" key until the "Enable" option or a check box next to it highlights and then press "Enter." Press "Tab" again until you are highlighting "OK," and press "Enter." Your touchpad will be re-enabled.

If the Fn (Function) button at the bottom left of the keyboard is pressed in conjunction with some other key on the keyboard it can result in the disabling of the mouse pad.
To enable your mouse pad on a Windows PC go to the Control Menu.
Under the Printers and Other Hardware option, click on Mouse.
Then, click on the tab on the top of the pop-up menu that says Device Settings.
The touch pad for your computer should come up as a selectable option.
Click on it and you will see the option to enable your device, then click OK
