I try to use remote start. I make sure gear is in natural -> I press and hold the foot break -> then I pull the hand brake -> then I release the foot break -> then I press the timer (middle key) on the remote. This procedure makes the light's blink as they're supposed to, and I can take out my keys while the car is still running. Then I open the door, walk out and shut the door. Then I press activate the alarm, and the engine stops. So far so good! The procedure I use to remote start the car is: unlock the remote control, then F key + timer key. Note: Im not disabling the Alarm, the car is still locked when I try to turn on the engine. BUT, when I want to start the engine with the remote control the alarm goes off and the horn honks. A few months back the engine did start as well as the alarm. Now it doesn't start, only the alarm sounds. Am I doing something wrong???

No this alarm does not do that. You can set it up for passive arming where 60 seconds after the last door is closed the alarm will turn itself on.

Hello,
Turn Ignition ON Press Valet Switch for apprx
2 - 5 seconds, L.E.D. Light should be solid ON. Turn Ignition OFF Alarm should be in Valet Chris
You put the key in the ignition position (2 clicks) then press the valet button. The alarm will still blare but you can start the car. Once you start the car the siren will stop. There's a time limit on this though, of about 5 seconds after the alarm first goes off.
