Panasonic nv-ds55 I have a problem when starting up my camcorder ,it shows an icon f5 on the top of my lcd screen and then i cannot record anything. the only way i can get the camcorder to work is to take the dv out, and put it back in again some times it works sometimes it doesn't vety annoying. please help thanks andy.

It sounds like the sensor is going bad. Here is the manual for the NV-DS 60, which is very similar to yours. You may need to take it to a repair shop. Good luck.

Try to restthe setting by default setting and try to take out tape if is there inside.

Clean the heads(use the specified cleaning tape sparingly).
Change tape. Using Panasonic video tape? It sounds like no. You might get by with Sony... Try Panasonic.
The tapes are different thickness, durability and therefore suitability for cameras. Try to get ME -type tape( metal evaporated) instead of MP( metal particle) as the particles tend to flake off more readily. The blue often means no signal(video) was recorded in that space(on the tape). Let me know it it helps.

Colour problem when recording with Panasonic NV-MX500

Hi, I recently had he same problem, you need to have the unit repaired, it is a small but extremely expensive part that has broken. If my recollection serves me right, it's the colour sensor. There are three that combine the colours to give natural colour. My repairer stated that vibration caused the problems to my camera. Good luck.
