Mitsubishi DLP WD 52525 has small green lines on the screen

Hello there. Can someone help with this problem. I just started noticing small green lines on my tv screen. Is this a sign of needing a new lamp or bulb. Ever since we got out directv hd/dvr it started to show the small green lines and now after 3 months the green lines are even more prominent and annoying. Your input is greatly appreciated.

hello, the lines are horizontal from top to bottom and about an inch or so apart but it doesn't look like it moved across the screen. sometimes the lines are on the right side of the screen and sometimes they are all over the screen and sometimes they don't show at all. very strange. i just ordered a new lamp for it so hopefully that will solve the problem. what do you think?

I have the same issue. I've had the cable co come out and it is not them. My bulb is coming to end of life and was wondering if you bought a new bulb and it took away the lines?

Do the lines go from top to bottom, and are they about 1 inch apart? or do they move diagonally across the screen?

sadly, it sounds like the light engine is failing. if you could post a picture it would help a lot

I've had a few people with this problem come to me. I've found lubricating the light wheel in the light engine, and replacing the bad capacitors in the unit fixed the problem. However, this unit has to be broken down to almost nothing to complete the repair. Very time consuming and make sure you have a large CLEAN (nearly sterile) Working environment in which to do this.

COLOR WHEEL - not light wheel sorry about that.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-52525 52-inch DLP HDTV ywllow warning lamp light

that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life.
sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours

What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away

or just simple replace the lamp. 915P020010

I am having trouble with my Mitsubishi 52" DLP model WD-52525. It has large green horizontal stripes rolling up and down the screen. I have already paid my money here, and was disconnected before my chat...

There is a chance the video board is not working how it should. When a video board starts to fail it can start with these green lines and it can also give you a completely green or blue screen. In this case you need to take the board to a shop so they can check if it's either the digital or analog video board. The boards are not that expensive. http://www.discount-merchant.com/?Click=48427

Our Mitsubishi WD 52525 goes to blue screen and shuts off.

It sounds like you TV is overheating and the video is suffering and the lamp is overheating as well. Also, if your TV is over 2-3 years old, the mirrors (behind and below the big front screen) desperately need to be cleaned. Clean all filters and fans as well. (Look on side and behind the unit). Is the TV in a "hot" environment and/or dirty environment? DLP TV's are NOT sealed units. They need to be cleaned every few years to work well to have a good, clear, bright picture.

Green horizontal lines on screen no picture

The green CRT's (color picutre tube or color wheel, or ballast) will need to be tested for replacement.
It is quite common with these tv's

You will need an ohmmeter and or voltmeter and test each component for currency and accuracy

Blue Flickering Screen - Which Repair Kit?

yes they provide a free service manual with their kits. the symptom of the blue screen could either be the signal or the FMT as they can both cause those symptoms, My professional guess would be the signal board as the FMT will cause distortion lines across the screen with no picture.
