Phone does not charge - even after hours of charging no life after 3 hours

I dont know if this will help you, but it helped me. I had the same problem, with phone not holding charge and getting really hot both during and after complete charge.
I needed my memorycard from my LG to my other phone, so I took it out, and off course the phone needed to be charged so I charged it, and... it did not get hot at all, and when it was finished, the charge lasted a day and a half!! Now the problem is I cant use the memorycard anymore in my Viewty :S Win/Loose situation i guess....
Its because the viewty is connecting to the 3g network 24/7 disable it from the settings menu and you should be fine!
I had the same problem with my samsung u740. Kept killing the new battery and would not charge and got hot with or without the charger on and all I did was take out the memory card and now it works great! Hope this helps someone else. :)

I have had this problem with my LG's battery. Yes when I got the phone it was second hand but the person before me only had the phone for a week and hated it and sold it to me.
I'm now on my 4th replacement battery with it and nothing seems to be working. The charge for all batterys lasts about 2-6 hours tops. I barley do anything with it apart have in in my bag for the occasional text and phone call (about 10 texts and a 2 minute phone call in the little time its turned on for)
Init mann, i jus got mine 2 days ago and the battery life is absoulty atrocous(dunno how to speel thhat) if i see the battery bar at the 2nd last bar, i charge it for a long time. it gets really hot but use it as your personal heater XD hope this helps

It's a faulty battery because I had the same problem. it dies within 2 hours. it sucks because it was only like 5 months old. I think lg needs to make better batteries. I bought a new one and now its lasting over 12 hours

Phone doesn't hold charge - gets hot, & turns on & off whilst charging!!??!! Less than a year old?
we have a LG KU990 as well. it is only 6 months old. we are having to charge the phone every 24 hours as after this time period the phone is dead flat.
very minimal use, we don't take photos, play music or anything else, just on standby the battery dies.
LG either has a problem with its charging circuitry inside the phone or they have picked a bad batch of batteries.
whats the warrenty on mobile phone batteries???

I have a viewty with the same problem. I have bought two more batteries and still only get three hours life with them.. Have emailed LG but have had no reply. I love the phone but am probably going to go back to using my old phone.

Same happened to me. i Can hardly make a phone call - the battery dies whilst i'm dialling. Not even gonna bother trying to work it out - i've bought a new phone. A trusty Samsung :)
battery dies within 2 to 10 hours . no matter what the phone settings are (G3, GSM, energy save mode ...etc)

yep i have the exact same thing, my battery last no more than 3 hours, and is really hot, shame i really liked it to, going back to my old phone, oh well maybye a new one soon!
I'm having the same problem, my phone is only 8 months old, it holds charge all day until i receive or make a phone call then the battery only last 10mins max and it also decided to turn off for no apparent reason, its really annoying, does anyone know hoe to fix this?
