1. You need to make sure the picture is not blur first. Try to use an AI photo enhancer to fix the blurry photo, and then print it again.

2. You need to make sure that the paper is printing paper to avoid ink spreading.

3. Check the printer.

Have you checked to be sure that -

  • you've designated the paper type as one of the photo type papers?
  • you've designated the print quality as either Normal or Best (NOT Draft or Quick or similar low-quality print)?
  • you're using one of the photo-type papers?
  • none of the ink cartridges is low on ink?

Is there a way to change the print quality from "normal" to "high"?

usually, if not all almost all printers allow you to set printing preferences before you print.
1. In windows, when you are about to print a document or photo, click preferences then you should be able to change printing quality. Usually, printers have radio buttons(option

buttons to select best "text","best quality", "photo quality" and "best photo quality". Just selct your preferences then click ok, then print.
2. If printing photos, there will be a warning to use photo paper instead of the usual paper.

When I try to print a photo, it doesn't use the photo ink cartridge, but defaults to the regular color ink cartridge. Where do I tell it to choose photo ink?

Check into the PRINT settings, available when you print a document. The paper type invokes different inks and print quality.

Fujifilm S5000 model, works well but have picture problems.

You want to set the focus mode to S-AF, then move the focus mode selector to the lock position.
Hopefully that will fix the problem.

Poor copy quality

there are 3 reason if the copy gray & less sharp:
1) the toner you are using is not compatible very well with the cartridge unit if you changed other compatible toner.
2) the cartridge going near the life-cycle, (also cause print blurred)
3) the photo drum going near the life-cycle
you may try to change the quality toner (original factory). or
change the cartridge if it is out of the life-cycle

Printer lines in photo's

Click Start - All programs - HP - HP Solution center.

In HP solution center Click on the Printing Shortcuts tab. Select Photoprinting with borders or borderless. Click OK.
Then close the HP solution center. Try printing. Print photos always with Best quality.

If the issue persists check the ink level of both cartridges and use Photos Cartridge HP 58 to print photos. We insert the Photo cartridge in place of black cartridge.

Thanks
