If you have the right tools then you can do it, make sure unplug the tv unit first while replacing the board. then mark or put a label to the connector that you were disconnect not to interchange that can cause of damage to the other board.

SOURCE: PLASMA T.V.

ten flashes from the light is a problem that needs to be issolated by a tech the 1st board to check is the PA board, and all the boards require authorization from panasonic to replace. that is why a tech must do the repair. if the unit is under warranty they must honor the warranty. extended warranty must honor the agreement you signed or purchased. there are a total of 6 boards that can cause the 10 flashes and can be costly to repair that is why I say when ever buying these types of sets get the extended warranty. these sets are no the sets of old they are not componet level repaired but board level repaired.

SOURCE: panasonic th-42pd50u no pic no sound but pwr light on

Replace the mainboard, it is going to be damaged, there is a chance it could be the powerboard but it is quite remote to take into consideration.

SOURCE: No power

I would guess it's the power unit for the TV itself.

If it's still under guarantee I would have thought you should be able to get it replaced.

SOURCE: Panasonic Plasma no sound, can't change channel

Yes the control board would definitely be the offender here. But a word of caution. Oftenj when this board goes 2 other boards are also compromised and not always obvious at the time people think they can just swap the board out.
It went for a reason, not just old age. So it is better and cheaper in the long run to get a professional to check it out.

Also from a safety aspect, this is the High Tension area of the TV. Also be aware that radiation of the X type is in abundance at the rear of the tube. The TV must be grounded when opening ( but my advice is dont!) Let the professional do it

SOURCE: I have a Panasonic TH-50PX75U Plasma 50" tv. The

Hello,

All you need to do is to open the back cover of the television to check for burnt transistor , this is always the problem , for you to fix this it require a basic knowledge on electronics,
Your power supply board is not yet dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help out in solving the problem

I have a TH-42px600u & there is no power going to it, the power cord is working, but the Tv is getting now power. Is there a fuse I should replace or a reset button? Help PLXX!

Of Course there is a fuse at its main power regulator board. but, you must have sound knowledge in electronics, to replace it, especially to Plasma displays. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. If you have confidence, follow. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

Panasonic th-42px600u high pitch sound

likely a coil or small transformer in the set is vibrating hard enough to make it squeel, it would have to be located with back off by listening to see where it comes from.

cure would be to replace the entire board it is on or hot glue the part that is causing this to dampen the sound.

If it is coming from the front screen unit that is a more serious issue.

I turn on my Panasonic TH-42PD60U Television - red LED blinks and there is a clicking noise but TV doesn't turn on.

Panasonic plasmas are notorious for their power board problems.

I can't know which one of the few possibilities yours might have, but at the very least it is worth checking against the most common ones(s):

http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/54/repair-kit-for-panasonic-th-42px60u-panasonic-th-42px600u-and-panasonic-th-42pd60u

Read the listing, get a multimeter and check the described components for short or open (in case of a fuse) and if it matches then that's the problem and that's the solution.

For in-depth troubleshooting help consider using www.coppelltvrepair.com/diagnose - it's free to ask, but we may not always be able or willing to help and when we do we'll typically put a price on a consultation.

How to setup picture in picture function on my tv. panasonic viera 42-px600u

This is controlled by the Split and Swap buttons on the remote; the size of the second picture can be adjusted with the Aspect button. First press split and use the Input button to select the source of the right picture of the split screen (TV channel or video inputs). Then press Swap and use the input button to select the source of the second screen. Swap again if desired or press Aspect to change the size of the main screen window. However, it is not available if you are using the HDMI, PC and SD Card viewing mode. Since the TV doesn't have dual digital tuners, you can't watch two different digital channels on the split screen.

The manual for the Panasonic TH-42PX600U is available from from Panasonic here: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Televisions/Plasma-HDTVs/model.TH-42PX600U . See page 18 of the manual, page 10 of the PDF.

I hope this helps.
