All digital camers has a memory storage (like a hard drive) you ust wipe this clean. if this is not covered in your operators book you may have to send it in. most camers are set to 5000 or more. If this is not the cast you have a problem in you memory board.

If you format, you will lose everything...format means erase and optimize. Take your card to a store like Walmart that has a Kodak picture maker machine. It will usually read all the pics on a card and you can make a cd of them on the machine.

Try a new SD card. SD cards do fail.
The socket inside the camera maybe no good - bad connections.
The camera may have liquid damage - this causes all kinds of weird issues.
I try the cards in my computer reader. If they can be used all day there (I load and unload stuff randomly all day to test and then put the card in a drawer for a few days and check what I loaded later), the fault is likely the camera.

Make sure you have no pictures on the internal memory of the camera. If you do, format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, download any pics you can save from the card to your computer. Then, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase and optimize the card for the camera.

It may be of your new SD card. Try with another SD card. It may not show you File contains No Image Data. -Lalith
