SOURCE: samsung lcd tv le40r8. tv will not switch on.

The problem is the mainboard tried to turn on TV but failed due to internal circuit problem. Normally, the power supply board is malfuntioned.

SOURCE: Samsung model LNT4053 H. Turn on

Re:Turn on power, get the bleep & blue light at bottom comes on. Picture comes in with no sound. Turn off & repeat & then it works

Problem is a faulty component. There are on board components, like capacitors, whose role is storing and absorbing charge when the circuits are "warming up". A tini part with this function is not working, for this reason the audio works only after restart.

The fault can be located in audio circuit, internal tuner or main controller board.

The repair involves testing at component level and replacing faulty part. If TV is still in warranty repair will be covered.

To have it repaired contact Samsung or future shop, they will send you a qualified technician.

SOURCE: NORCENT MODEL PT4231.TURN THE MASTER

The continuous flashing indicates that the power source is in protected mode: another part inside the tv has failed, it draws an excessive amount of current and that has been detected by the safety system of the power source who has shut it down to protect it and the rest of the tv.
Since the status light goes to orange for a few moments before going red it means that the problem is outside the power source. The most probable cause is indeed with the mainboard; if it would have been one of the Sustain boards the failure would have been much more brutal and instantaneous (no orange on the status light) .
To certify that you will have to test the mainboard with an oscilloscope to find out if the processor is operational. If you don't have one just swap it.

Why does a Samsung t.v un65ks8000 doesn't power on? Red standbylight keeps blinking on and off and screen lights for about 3 seconds and then out repeatedly

An interruption in the power supply is the main cause of the red light flashing problem. This interruption is often the result of swollen or blown capacitors. Capacitors are a very important part of TVs as they save and release electricity in the TV

Samsung UN55F7100AF backlight problem. tv screen is blank

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Will you please send me some more details about the fault? The description you have given here is very short to understand. Do the standbylight at the front of your TV lights up? Do you hear a small 'click' sound soon after you switched the tV's power On etc: Give me more details. OK.

Goes off & comes back on.. now stays off Samsung model LN46A540P2

This could be 2 things, a main board or a power supply. I have replaced many main control boards on samsungs and it solved the problem. But sometimes it could be the power supply. You will need to test the voltages on the power supply to rule out the power supply being bad.

TV Turns Off Automatically While Watching

Stop trying to turn on the set. You are causing more damage. The hissing sound you are hearing is either a High Voltage Transformer on the SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) indicating a short somewhere in the set or some capicitors that have shorted out. Also there can be a CRT that is leaking cooling fluid onto the Main bd or the Power/Deflection bd or both bds. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

Samsung LCD tv - Turns on and off by itself.

Since you have another TV with the same problem you can try using an antenna(indoor model ok) to see if the cable is causing the problem. If not return TV before the warranty expires.

Won't turn on

Diagnostic code meaning;

  • Nine blinks - Replace D 6116 and D 6301 on the "G" board, do not resolder as this will fix the problem temporary. Or Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing, then change the switching regulator on the "G" board or check connections. Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive).

  • Hope it may help you;
