I had this problem with an Aficio 2018D using scan router ScanRouter V2 Lite. The MFP would say it couldn't update the delivery list. Deleting/Reinstalling SW, resetting the I/O device and so on, nothing worked. At last I had to use the SP 5845 (see maintenance manual) to manually change the Delivery Server IP address, which was initially set to 127.0.0.1 and had by then been corrupted to 0.0.0.0, to 192.168.1.227 which was the IP address of the WinXP where ScanRouter was running (of course port 3870/tcp must be opened as exception in Windows Firewall). The scanner immediately "saw" the delivery list, updated by itself and, touching wood, worked like a charm ever since.

Find proxy server address

Changing TCP/IP settings Win 7 TCP/IP defines how your computer communicates with other computers.
To make it easier to manage TCP/IP settings, we recommend using automated Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). DHCP automatically assigns Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to the computers on your network, if your network supports it. If you use DHCP, then you don't have to change your TCP/IP settings if you move your computer to another location, and DHCP doesn't require you to manually configure TCP/IP settings, such as Domain Name System (DNS) and Windows Internet Name Service (WINS). To enable DHCP or change other TCP/IP settings, follow these steps:
  1. Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, typeadapter, and then, under Network and Sharing Center, click View network connections.
  2. Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties. 18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties. 25e7e385-9327-4f7d-aab0-afa5aaf952ba_49.jpgThe Network Connection Properties dialog box
  4. To specify IPv4 IP address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get IP settings automatically using DHCP, click Obtain an IP address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify an IP address, click Use the following IP address, and then, in the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway boxes, type the IP address settings.
  5. To specify IPv6 IP address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get IP settings automatically using DHCP, click Obtain an IPv6 address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify an IP address, click Use the following IPv6 address, and then, in the IPv6 address, Subnet prefix length, and Default gateway boxes, type the IP address settings.
  6. To specify DNS server address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get a DNS server address automatically using DHCP, click Obtain DNS server address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify a DNS server address, click Use the following DNS server addresses, and then, in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server boxes, type the addresses of the primary and secondary DNS servers.

You cannot change the ip address, if you are using static ip address. If it is dynamic ip address, you can change it easily by resetting the modem or switching it off and on.you can also use Proxy server or Hide ip address software to change the ip address.
To check the ip address before and after changing, Visit the Ip-details.com . Here you can search IP,domain host and it also includes city, country, global latitude & longitude coordinates etc.

#
Step 4

Last, type "exit" (without quotation marks) then press "Enter" to close the window.

you have a new ip address.

Method 2
It's simple to change the Ip-address..You can reset the modem or switch for a minute and the switch on it..Check the ip-address at Ip-details.com if your ip address changed .It's Dynamic ip address ....You can change it many times by resetting the modem...Before changing check your previous ip ,so that you can know the difference. This is will not work if your ip address is a static ip address...Static ip will not change even if you reset the modem.

Method 3:
You can use proxy server or hide ip address software to change the ip address...But it's not legal to hide ip address always..It helps to hide your ip address from hackers..So whenever you need you can hide ip..Don't hide ip address always .. You can also display your ip from Canada using proxy, even if you are in USA.

How do I change my WD5000G032-001 external hard drive's IP address?

Very few external disk-drives _have_ an IP-address (the Apple Time-Machine is the exception). For those drives that do,
they obtain their IP-address automatically, by sending a 'request' out through their network-connection. A DHCP ('Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol') server on the network sends an IP-address to it. Most 'home' routers (wired or wireless) include the DHCP-server functionality.

So, the only way to change the IP-address is to configure the DHCP-server to always assign the desired IP-address whenever that specific device sends a 'request' for an IP-address.

Your DNS information may be incorrect use a ipconfig /All to check your DNS setting from any workstation on your current network. If you ping the name of the server it should reply with the IP address

    Blocking email

The ISP provider changed our IP address when we reset the modem.(even though they swear it was a fixed IP) The mailguard delivery address is fixed so the redirected mail from mailgaurd no longer had a valid address for delivery.
You can fix this by correcting the mailguard delivery IP address (phone them in business hours) or by providing Mailguard with a name address instead of an IP address .

Simple but frustrating until you think of checking to see if the IP addresses of your server and mailguard match
