Effects stopped working all @ once ! Was working

The effects just stopped working all @ once! The unit is still under warranty ! I thougt it might have been a user error @ first but I have tried every thing. The effects jack is working like the push switch to disable the effects. Is it normal for the effects LED to illuminate with the effects push switch off?

I could not find where to solve my own problem! It was a loose connection on the digital board. It is mounted piggy back on the front panel. It is 4"x 2 3/4". I pushed the ribbon cable connecting it and it started working. Now I can't get it to quit. When it quits again I will try and approach it lightly and see if I can locate the loose connection. I am pretty sure it's on this board so I may see if Peavey will send me a new one. If I had sent to Peavey . It might have been working by the time it got there! I figure I saved myself and Peavy shipping. I will see if they will ship me a new board. It has three screws securing it to the front panel. To remove top of case remove 4 screws in handle and screws across front & back top, then 2 screws each to remove the 2 inserts on the left of the top. You will need a long Philips head to remove the 2 larger screws in the well. The top will lift off. The unit is laid out really simple with a 15 connector gray ribbon cable connecting the front panel with the main amp!

The effects will not work for more than 10 or so min, then quites

Unit needs to be serviced by qualified technician. If you have some knowledge and experience, do this...use a Freeze spray (available at your electronic parts dealer) and freeze the effects related parts 1 at a time till they come back. No Freeze spray? When stops working, physically feel related components immediately for excessive heat.

Sir, have a Yamaha PSR 330, very recently the left speaker is not working. Do guide me for the same.

If it was playing fine and just stopped working while you were playing it, it's possible the speaker has failed, or a wire has come off. It is likely something you cannot fix yourself, and should find a local music store, like Guitar Center, who can repair it for you. It's generally not a very expensive repair at all.

If the sound stopped working from one side after you were playing with some controls or editing some voices, you may have set the panning all the way to the right, which would cause no sound to come out of the left speaker. In that case, you would simply need to set the panning to the center again while in editing mode.

If you are not too familiar with the editing features on the PRS 330, and not sure how to set the panning to the center again, you could always simply reset the unit to it's factory settings once again, while will return all the voices, effects, panning, etc. back to like the unit was when it was first taken out of the box and turned on. Here's the process to reset the Yamaha PRS 330 back to it's original settings -

Restoring the default (factory-programmed) settings While holding the C7 key (right-most key on the keyboard), press the power switch to turn the power on.
This operation erases backup data in this instrument (including backup settings in the Function mode) and
restores the factory default settings. The User Songs and the external Songs stored to internal memory will be

None of that works and you do need to have someone look at the unit, here is a link to the Yamaha Authorized Service Locator to find the nearest authorized service center near you -

Bank up button short

okay. (I've experienced this myself). There is a small On/Off button on the circuit board below the stomp pedal. You have to open the unit to change this out. if you have any experience soldering this will be no problem. Now the button you de-solder, take with you to any local radio shack and match it up. check for number of pins that go in the circuit board and height of the push button. (i had to super glue a small piece of rubber to mine so it would reach the stomp pedal). and just replace it with that. Your problems will be resolved. and note these buttons go out frequently depending on the use. its most annoying. Good luck!

How to get efx to work

You are aware that there are no built in effects, correct? Are you connecting an off board effects unit and having problems with that? You should be connecting the effects send on this mixer to the input of the effects unit - then the output of the effects unit to the effects return on the mixer. With the effects send control on the appropriate channel turned up, you should see signal hitting the effects unit. You'll need to adjust the effects return on the mixer to hear the effects signal included in your mixer output.

NEVER CONNECT PEDALS THROUGH THE EFFECT LOOP OF AN AMP. They are NOT design to work at the same signal levels !!! ONLY use effect units that are design to be used in amp effects in the amp effects loop/

Hi , Just purchased an HD400 today . When powered up there is no menu screen available only black character blocks ?????

This sounds like a power supply problem. SInce the unit is brand new, exercise your warranty immediately. Don't mess with it and risk voiding the warranty.
If YOU supplied the power adapter, that is LIKELY the problem. This unit take one that is capable of 3 amps. (2.5 amps minimum) Most pedal adapters will NOT work with this unit as they don't have adequate current output.

Do the following:

Set each of the FX mix knobs to 12 o'clock (halfway up to start)... I believe they are orange tops for each channel effects are desired for.

Next select the number of effect by rotating the selection knob. The display will flash.

Push DOWN on the selection knob to activate the selected effect number... the display will cease to flash. Note that you can mute the effects with a small button in the effect area and decimal point will come on showing effect, even though selected, is disabled. That small button can toggle the effects on and off.

Next, adjust the "FX to main knob" above the MAIN fader... set it to 12 o'clock to start with.
Note that there are two others that send the resultant same effect to stage monitors if used...

Now ADVANCE the FX (orange) fader to increase the input to the FX. You should start to hear the effects... SOME of the effects are subtle, so maybe choose a long delay one to get the hang of it... choose #3 for example...

The manual is NOT too clear how to use the effects and is confusing... they assume you have knowledge common to mixers... and new users don't.

I would recommend watching several YouTube videos about mixer setup... there are some good ones there !!! Most mixers have a lot in common and once you learn what is there, you can work most any of them... some of the new digital ones are a bit more confusing.

Como resetar o gfx8

zoom GFX-8:
The All Initialize/Factory Recall function is a special function
that lets you reset the GFX-8 to the condition in which it was originally shipped. When All Initialize is performed, all settings of the unit including all user group patches are returned to the default condition. Factory Recall can be used to reset only specific user group patches group to the default settings.
1. Turn power to the GFX-8 on while keeping the STORE key depressed. The display shows "ALL-INIT".
• To perform All Initialize, Continue with the next step.
• To perform Factory Recall, Use the BANK UP/DOWN foot switch and foot switches 1 - 4 to select the patch (from a user group) that you want to return to the factory default condition.
2. Press the STORE key once more.
All Initialize or Factory Recall is carried out.
If All Initialize was carried out,
the unit automatically returns to the play mode.
Note that when All Initialize is executed,
the contents of all patches stored by the user will be overwritten (erased).
When wishing to cancel All Initialize/Factory Recall,
press the EDIT/CANCEL key before step 2.

How to use an external effects processor on the tascam neo

Manual here: If you look at the back you will see two effects sends. Apparently from the manual you can use the line inputs for returns. This is where it might become confusing. Each line in is also a TRS jack. That means that using a common guitar or unbalanced cable will make the jack act as an input. If you use a shielded !/4" stereo cable( stereo jacks on each end) then the jacks can send a signal and receive a signal. If your effects unit has one of these jacks also you just need the proper cable. If not you use a cable with ends that match your unit and the Tascam. There are several combinations of effects assignment available and you should consult the manual carefully. I would recommend joining a support or users forum for this unit. Try this one: or this one: The last one is a site worth joining and I highly recommend it.
