You can buy hinges on Ebay. Make sure u get the hinge not the cover or support plate. then you have to take it apart and replace it. Not real easy but can be done by amature. Let me know if you need instructions. Be happy to help.

Loose hinges or bad hinges. You can pop off the hinge cover (above the keyboard) and 'try' to tighten the hinges, but if that doesn't work, it's failing hinges and the only fix is to get them replaced mate.

The Geeks can probably fix it for your left arm. Try a small computer shop in your area, they will be much more reasonable. You can check this site for local shops. You can also fix this yourself, it's not too terribly hard. Below are a couple of links that have breakdown diagrams, you might find one for your machine there. Check Ebay for a replacement hinge.
