There are two ways to select the bypass.

One way is from the pc...

This involves selecting to print and then in preferences picking the bypass.

The other method of selecting the bypass is from the copier.

To select the bypass for copying press bypass, press others, press bypass, select paper type and press enter.

I am using a Bizhub C550. I want to print an Illustrator file without maing it a PDF. Once, I was lucky to print 8.5 X 11 file using the Bypass tray. I like rinting through Illustrator ai instead of I

The easiet way is to open all trays and load the bypass and tell the machine you loading 8.5 x 11 on bypass.

You can also set it on any tray within the menu of the copier under paper > then select tray > then change paper tray settings. Usually it is set to auto. but you can change bypass to what ever size you want with respect to the spec of the machine.

I cannot print from the Stack bypass tray. I have tried many adjustments. This leaves me unable to print envelopes and using letter head. What could be wrong?

First of all select the paper select button for the bypass tray on the control panel after putting envelopes in the tray. It will then say select paper size. Press the RIGHT arrow until COM 10 or executive comes up and the select OK. Then print what you want . You have to look at the printing properties on the driver to make sure you have auto or the bypass tray selected

minumum size for the bypass is 3.5x5.5 and max is 11x17
minimum, for the paper trays is 5.75x8.25 and the max is11.5x16.5
so it should run 5.5x14 in the bypass tray
1 load the paper in the bypass tray
2 in the basics screen touch paper
3 select the button for the bypass tray
4 touch change setting
5 select custom size and program the size
