No, the C310 will handle a 2GB card.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

The Secure Digital (SD) memory card has a write-protect switch on the card case. Like the write-protect switch on a floppy disk, the SD switch prevents the card from being written to. (The SD card is slightly thicker than the MultiMedia [MMC] card.) Moving the write-protect switch will allow you to write to and format the SD card.
