Fogging complaint could be for two reasons.
1. The bis that connects the TFT to the motherboard is not proper in place
2.TFT itself is losing its life gradually.

both the problem has to be checked in person by experts.
so it is advisable to take it to a service center.

Rectangular or Square LCD/TFT

This is a common question which comes to each and everyone's mind who

are about to purchase a new TFT/LCD that whether to purchase a

rectangular or square LCD/TFT.

As an experts opinion, I would suggest that it totally depends upon the users

requirements. As far as my experience is concerned most of the users of

these TFT/LCDs are home users and they never use any such application

which requires widening of display. Only with few industrial or defence based

organization do require such zooms and that too only for radar display.

As an experts opinion if you require to purchase a TFT/LCD and you are

wondering whether that should be square or rectangular I would suggest

you go for a square LCD/TFT because if you are watching a movie or you

are viewing a web page and that movie or web page is just zoomed out in

width it would look awkward. On the other hand if it is zoomed out in both

dimensions horizontal and vertical. It looks soothing to ones eyes and you

will definitely going to like that you took the decision to purchase a square

The max resolution for this monior is 1024 x 768 @60Hz. You will get the error message if the video resolution is too high to display.

Hello,
TFT means Thin Film Trangister. You are using LCD (liquid crystal dispaly) this means in lcd monitor use trangister on/off to create a pixel. you should give your monitor to repair at workshop for this problem. i don't know any workshop which located in your city. and about the expence it's all around rs 600 to 1000.

Gateway FPD1960 19" CD has a red tint to all oc screen when I turn it on.

Make sure your VGA cable is seated properly. If it is seated OK, it could be the start of a problem with a backlight. When a backlight goes bad, it typically shows up as pink/red color where white should be displayed.
