After a few minutes this messages turns to E10 and it beeps until the cycle is cancelled. called customer support and they thought it was oversudsing so i tried to put a load through with no detergent to see what would happen. same thing. what do these codes mean? any help would be great.

Found out that hot water is not entering the machine. Now i have to figure out why. faucet is on. hoses are connected properly and there are no leaks.

    Damn G,

I have the same prob - we just moved and I think a bump in the move might have done this. We have a 3 MO and a 18MO and so are being inundated in a POOHNAMI wave of soiled laundry.

It is simple. The wrong soap or too much soap will caused EFO to flash. I overfilled the machine with soap by accident. It started flashing with EFO and I went nuts. What could be wrong with it now?! Too much soap or not the right kind of soap will cause this problem.
Plus, I found a sheet of paper that gives the codes.

This is better than when the strainer plug gets filled up and you have to take the machine apart to clean the little strainer.

Could mean two things not getting enough water or the drain hose is too low I had the same problem and my drain hos was down to low if you have it on pedalestals like mine is you drain hose needs to be two inches high than the wash machine

One other reason for water not getting to the washer is if the hose is a burst-proof one with a built-in shut-off valve. That was my problem and was solved by replacing the hose. I never thought a hose could cause so many problems.

I agree with it being too much soap. My washer was working fine until I put in some thin curtains to wash. I accidentally put too much soap!

Affinity washer flashing EFO

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, is flashing an EFO code. I do not show an EFO code for your appliance.

I do show an EF1 code, which means the drain pump is clogged. In this instance you would unclog the drain pump.

I also show an EF2 code, which means too much soap was used. All you would do for this would be to try using less soap.

It could also be a false error code. I suggest resetting your washer, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power, start any cycle on your washer. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

I am getting a EFO then E10 error message after I start a load of clothes...which means I have to cancel the load.

E10/EFO error code is an indication of a slow fill, took to long to fill, no fill or the fill water could be siphoning out the drain hose as it's filling with water.

Check to make sure that the drain hose is not stuck too far down the stand pipe and causing the water to siphon out. Check the cold and hot water supply to the washer for any restrictions. If you have a slow fill remove the hoses from the washer and check for restricted filter screens in the water inlet valve. Check for any restricted hose screens too.

When I start a load of laundry, the water will start filling up but stops aftera minute and and a error message pops up.Error message EFO. The washer does nothing else

Frigidaire, Zanussi, AEG, & More....

EFO = Filter Blocked (low flow) and it is accessible from the bottom front of the machine.

1. there is a blockage in the filter or drain hose.takes too long to drain out.
2. over dosing of powder or liquid. again can cause an air lock in the pump which slows the drain pump down.

Check the filter and drain hose and test again. this fault will only come up at the end of a cycle.
You do not need to reset the machine to get rid of the fault code as this is automatically deleted.

Run an empty load with no detergent in an attempt to get rid of the code.
