I had the same problem. We returned the game twice, and tried the third one on three computers before one worked. Knowing that the game did actually work gave me confidence. I brought the game back home and tried it again on my laptop (running windows xp). Plugged in the keyboard, loaded the software... same result "missing keyboard". I left the keyboard plugged in, went to my "control panel" and chose "add hardware". I let windows choose the fix. Now the game works great and was a fantastic hit with our 4 year old granddaughter and 2 year old grandson. Fisher Price should add this fix to their website. Good Luck!
The "Leo Classroom" disk that came with it wouldn't load on my computer.
So, I copy the infomation to my laptop....then to my SD Card in my phone by using my USB cable. Then I connect my phone to my computer and installed the software.
I plugged in the Cool School Keyboard and installed the software. It was a pain to figure out how to get the disk to load but afterwards, the programs and keyboard worked fine.
I hope you have a seperate device to copy the disk software to and then back the computer. If you do, this should help you out.

I also downloaded according to the instructions. Then it says to plug in the keyboard. I do that, but some how it does not recognize the keyboard. I have been unable to get thru to the Fisher Price 800# in the booklet
I also have problems with their easylink that I bought in sept and their mp3 players I bought last christmas still haven't gotten any working fisher price says that I'm not using a computer advanced enough yet it is above and beyond their required specifications, my husband is a comp geek and solve just about any problem and cant get these to work. he thinks its a driver problem for the easylink i am so frustrated by this.
it says the same to me about the keyboard not being plugged in and i too haven't gotten anyone yet or for the past year about the other products
I get the "missing keyboard" message too. My husband even returned it to the store and I am trying a new one . . but I got the same message. I am using a cordless mouse. Do you think that could be part of it? This is so frustrating. Now FP 800# is not available again until Monday the 29th.

Same problem. Missing keyboard. Tried to plug it into a laptop, desktop and via a USB hub but no luck. Anyone having any idea what to do? It looks like a USB driver problem (I use XP) but can't find any meaningful help anywhere.
