SOURCE: rca 32v432t tv plays, turnsoff, turnson, and stays in autochannel search mode

your going to need to do a resolder of dry looking solder jobs and or poor solder jobs
this could also be your front control board , try disconnecting it and see if the tv stays on
it is possible that the sensor has gone bad or the crystal needs to be replace or worse the EEPROM
my rca 27 in was doing the same thing , i resoldered the board and it worked great for 7 months
so do a resolder of all suspicious solder and heated components
then let me know what happens
also what is your model # for your rca tv ?
also one of rca's kits for repair is some solder and paste , so that should tell you something in its self about rca repairs ( the solder with the paste is supposed to make it handel heat better )
please give a fixya rating so that if you need more help in your tv , I can continue to help you further , thanks

RCA 20F514TD has lost horizontal hold. How can I adjust this? I have found no button or menu option discussed in the manual or by searching.

Horizontal rolling is the fault to your TV I assumes. It is a circuit fault. It can't be adjusted by customer controls. Contact any experienced service technician.

I Am hooked to antennae on RCA TRU FLAT TV & when I go to the TV menue, it assumes that I am on cable a. This isn't so We are on antennae.> Howcan I get the menue to recognise that we are infact on...

You didn't provide your TV model. However, you should be able to switch from cable to antenna with the Menu. Make sure the Input source is the TV, press Input repeatedly to get that setting.

1) Menu > Setup Menu > Auto Channel Search. Use the up/down arrows to select the appropriate line. Use the right or left arrow to change the source, then press the down arrow to highlight Start Search. Then press the right arrow or OK.

2) Press Menu and use the Ch+/Ch- buttons to cycle through a list in the menu, highlight Setup and press OK to select. Then use the Vol+/Vol- buttons to choose TV/CATV. Again press OK. Go down to Auto Search and press Vol+.

If there is a Menu button on the TV, you can do this without a remote.

I hope this helps.

(the above work on two different RCA TV made by TTE Corp from 2004 through early 2010. Check the manual for the specifics on your TV. If you provide me the model, I can look in my stacks for the exact manual.)

I connect the cable,it doesnt show anything!I try the auto channel search for both cable and antenna,it doesnt find any channel at all!it says-no signal..-rca 20inch sdtv truflat.dual combo with dvd player...

I assume you tried the cable on a working TV to make sure there is a signal on the cable line and that the cable terminal is OK. See if you can control the input selector and set it up for RF or TV reception. If OK, try to tune in channels manually or in auto mode. Do this in programming mode. If you notice any noise on the screen, this means the source selector circuit is OK. If there is no noise, the source selector may not be latched to the RF circuit output. Try to feel the terminal at the back of the TV set. If it feels like it moves when pressure is applied in various directions, chances are the solder connection for the terminal onto the circuit board may be faulty. Resoldering them would be easy for DIY enthusiasts. If it isn't the culprit, try the DVD. If it works fine, then the video circuits must be ok. The trouble could be from the video source selector circuit backwards to the RF block. Usually an IC senses the power condition of the DVD player. If it senses that the player is ON, the IC latches on the signal coming from the DVD player. See if there i a separate power button for the DVD. More later, please post a feedback

The digital tuner on my Olevia LT37HVS LCD TV freezes sometimes. When it does, you can't change channels, adjust the volume or even shut it off short of unplugging it. All of the other A/V inputs work just...

Tune the tv to a channel that is just blue screen. Then turn the tv off and unplug for at least 30 sec. Then plug the tv back in and turn it on. Then leave the tv on the blank screen channel go into the menu and do auto cable channel search. After the search is complete try all channels. This worked for me. My tv will not scan if the tv is on a channel that comes in. GOOD LUCK these tv's are junk .

Convergence problem

http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/mytrevo/myTrevo.jsp?page=man

You can download the manual here. Insrtuctions for auomatic convergence are described. I copied the instructions below.

Automatic Convergence
Your HD Monitor’s picture tubes might have been disturbed during delivery or
after you moved the HD Monitor, causing the color in your HD Monitor to be
out of alignment. The colors adjust by starting auto convergence.
IMPORTANT: Auto convergence works best once the HD Monitor has
warmed up for at least an hour. If you've just unpacked your HD Monitor,
it's a good idea to repeat the Auto convergence function when the
HD Monitor's been running for at least an hour. See page 38 for more
information about Auto convergence.
1. Press OK to begin auto convergence.
2. When the auto convergence is complete, the Red center convergence menu
appears. The cross in the middle of the screen should be yellow. If it is not,
use the arrow buttons to move the red cross to overlap the green cross.
Press OK when adjustments are complete.
3. The Blue center convergence menu appears with a cyan cross in the middle
of the screen. If it is not, use the arrow
