My alarm went into valet mode, I've tried opening the door and pressing lock unlock and lock, but it doesn't work. Someone please help me take it off valet mode! thanks!
SOURCE: Car is completely locked down
Let's hopethat the installer actually put in the valet switch for the Viper! Lcate the valet switch. ALWAYS put mine down by the e-brake lever under dash. (I assume that the alarm is going off? If not, go to next step.
Find the alarm/start brain under dash. Unplug main 6 pin 12 gauge wire harness. Wait 5 minutes, then re-appy the power plug. Alarm "may" go off, then try again.
Hit me back if you need further assstance. TTYL

SOURCE: would like to know what the bottom 2 buttons mean on Viper 7153v
the bottom button is for function shift, and is used (with aux button) to activate certain functions (add on optional features like trunk pop, window roll up/down, rear defroster, etc--all depend on car and install) or by itself for status updates (interior temp check-press once, release, press and hold; remaining runtime-press and release three times, press and hold; lock status-press and release twice, press and hold). it is also used with lock and unlock for silent arm/disarm, and also to enter valet mode.
SOURCE: problem with my viper alarm system on my 98' odyssey
first, you need to manuslly disarm the alarm. open driver's door, put key in ignition, turn on ignition, an then within 10 seconds push the valet/program button for a couple of seconds. (it is the little spring loaded push button that they installed with your system. probably in the kick panel or under dash
SOURCE: I have a viper 5501 LC3 SST LCD alarm; my problem
You failed to mention the year/make/model of the vehicle so, my answer will be as general as your question. Either you have a vehicle that has a delayed dome light and , the alarm is tied to that wire or there is a problem with one of your door pin switches.

You should also be receiving an error message. If the parking lights flash six times, it relates to the hood shutdown wire(-) or the brake shutdown wire(+). If the parking lights flash seven times, it relates to the neutral safety shutdown. Check the toggle switch under the dash and flip it to the opposite position.
