Intellitouch XLink Cell Bluetooth Gateway Router Logo

My normal sounding dial tone will all of a sudden sound like a busy signal. Switching off the prime number blue light and then turning it back on retuns the dial tone to normal. Any idea of a soluti

I am using a Excede Bluetooth modem from Blue Dish (Via Sat) coupled with a Lynksys N router. Then I have the Gateway so that I can use the old house telephones as extensions to the prime number cell phone. As I said I will have the normal dial tone when I go to make a call using a house phone most of the time. But then I will attempt to make a call and find the busy signal dial tone when I open the connection to dial the number. By pushing down the blue button for the pirme number #1 cell phone we use for our house phone. At this time we do not have either of our other two cell phones paired to the Xlink bluetooth gateway.

I have not had the problem in a couple of days. Not sure why but I moved the Xlink Bluetooth Gateway out o fhte computer room to a different telephone jack so that might have been the problem. Go ahead and close the discussion. Thank you for you help. I am glad that I am now in the FixYa family and perhaps some of my many exploits will be of help to someone else in the future. Dale

I think you have to 'close' the ticket by accepting my answer to you.

Testimonial: "Thanks for trying to help with the problem than hasn't surfaced again in two days. I, therefore, close the discussion on this question."

I don't understand what I am supposed to do by the comment "close the ticket". I don't see a solution to the problem discussed in the list of solutions. I am new to FixYa and perhaps that is the reason for my question. Thank you for responding.

You stated that you don't have the problem any more. Close the ticket means close the discussion. This is not a conventional problem reporting system so you, the user are the one who can remove the question from the list of unsolved problems. You do that by accepting a solution (Was this solution helpful? Yes). Press the Yes button.

My panasonic kx-tga431al has all of a sudden changed the dial tone. instead of the regular tone, it now has a tone that sounds like a busy signal... what do i do to fix this?

Hi,

Have you set up 'Call Divert' which returns a 'Broken Dial Tone'

Dial #21# if it is on a Single Line Telephone, or if fitted on a Business System check programme for 'Call Forward'

Status 50 on a fax estudio 45

the number is busy. Try pressing the monitor button and listening for a dial tone. No dial tone means your phone line is not working. If you have dial tone, dial the number you wish to fax and listen to see if it picks up. If you get a busy signal, or hear someone answer, that is why it's not working. If you hear the fax tones, press start and send your document. This is a way to fax that allows you to hear the whole process.

Can't dial out,

It sounds as though your system is set to pulse instead of tone, look for a switch on your phone to indicate pulse or tone, change to tone.

I cannot dial out.

The dial may be defective and when you dial it is putting out erronous tones. When the Phone Company heres digits that do not correspond to a legal phone number it will give you a error tone or busy tone. It could be the phone got put on pulse and the line won't recognize the pulses

No dial tone, clicking sound

It most likely is the LIU (Line Interface Unit). or you might have it plugged in the wrong port on the fax itself. Make sure it's plugged into the LINE plug. If it's the LIU it would be cheaper to replace then calling for service. Unless it's under warranty still (usually 90 days)
