You will need to have the set diagnosed as there a number of things could cause this. But I would say you're looking at a power supply or main board problem. It is also possible that your key controller (side buttons) is defective. I take it the TV doesn't turn on with a remote either?

SOURCE: my vizio vx32l will not turn on. vizio logo will

The main board has failed. Replace the main board will fix the problem.

By the way, where did you buy the TV? If you have bought it from Costco then try to give them a call to see if it still under warranty.

Hope this will help.

SOURCE: no power to vizio flat screen 32HDtv. TV worked fine nite before.

Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. Or, something simple like a blown fuse inside the TV.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptoms.

You have a few choices:

1. You can again try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 - 45 minutes so the TV can discharge and reset itself.
2. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.

3. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, schematics, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15 by searching on the internet with the part number.

4. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

The sp42a is a plasma tv not an lcd. check the psb voltages first then move onto the ymain and buffers.

How to test Tcon and other board on Vizio television. When I first connect power logo is bright orange, then slowly dims.

That isn't a timing control board issue, see if you have PSON voltage for starters, if you do then test the various power supply voltages, it could be either the main or power board giving issues, but I would bet on the power supply is bad since the logo comes stays on

I have a: Vizio SV420XVT1A.... The TV dont turn on!!... The logo light is off and have a sound like a beep beep and a red light blink a number 5.1 in the bottom of the TV

The main digital board to your TV should be troubleshooted. If it found faulty, there is no other way than replace it as card basis. There is no repair to these boards. Very like computer motherboards.

Visio VP504 fhdtv10a - When I plug it in, it has an amber logo light and makes a click noise (like a relay). When I press the power button nothing happens.

These are problems gradually developed in TV over the years. You may have to look for any dry solder, change the capacitors that look 'puffy' and try.
