Hi, i tried all the solutions on connecting the phone with PC, but it didn't work. My PC can recognize it as external drive - so there is nothing wrong with USB connection and i can do the 'darag and drop' of MP# or picture using Explorer. But when i open LGSync application, it said CAN NOT CONNECT TO MOBILE PHONE, CHECK CONNECTION and all the menu is grey. I also want to know how can we install new application such as game? first u need some settings in your mobile from service provider, than u instole internet kit in u r computer , than u selecgt modem in phone/modem in your handset, than make a dial up conn.. from int.. kit(these are the of computer in lgint.kit) File

you need to plug the usb you had with the mobile where you insert the charger with pc and transfer data or music from pc to the mobile.
try to plug the wire usb first . on your pc it will open a page written as removable disk .
the open your music documents make copy the one you want and on removable disk make paste you can work with this

Sony Vaio running Vista 32 bit & a LG KE850 Prada had the same problem with LG Mobile Sync not recognising that the phone was connected, but now working fine.
Try the following :
After downloading mobile Sync to your computer.
Open phone settings, then connectivity, then USB Connection & select Data Service.
Connect the phone to the computer, the computer then senses NEW HARDWARE and looks for & installs the drivers.
Once completed.
Open Mobile Sync, select connect icon and the compurter links with the phone and everything works fine from then on.

This is just crappy software, it's not a Windows related problem. I am a Mac user and running LG Mobile Sync under Virtual PC. Like everyone else in here I can connect the phone acting as an USB storage device (like I can on my Mac outside of Virtual PC) but I can't get it to "talk" to LG Mobile Sync.
In Virtual PC, I have to tell the program which USB devices to pass through to the Virtual PC Windows installation and which devices to "leave" on the Mac.
When connecting the phone to my Mac, the Virtual PC USB settings pop-up, notifying me of the new device. The device is visible as "LG: 1 CDC and 1 MS and 1 DPS". When I tell it to pass it on to Windows inside Virtual PC, it's just not picked up by the Sync software.
