Akai pth5498 Where can I purchase a Convergence Board? Is there an online supplier?

Any colors R,G,B out of alignment the convergence board are dead.The tv convergencce board must have it 2 STK convergencce ICS,and some or all it resistors be replaced to solved the convergence problems.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

thats board i beleieve iff the unit has fuses on the amp board i beleive they are fb102b and fb101b fusables are you going to replace these.. more than likely if u still have partical convergence it may be a amp or a resistor not the fuse.. have you gone into convergence mode? does the read crosshairs move?

Convergence board is dead.Go to Tv repair World.com buy a new convergence board replaced the board will solved ur problems.Samsung/Akai use same convergence board.

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

Yes is is your convergence IC's. One has gone bad, but consider replacing both of them because if one has gone bad then the other is not far behind. They are located on the middle board of your set. They are mounted on a large heatsink, the part # should be STK-392-040. Replace these and your set will work fine again.

the location is near the picture tube , u should see a small board stk392-040

HELLO . it sound like you need to replace the convergence board or just the IC'S ON THE BOARD. IT WOULD BE CHEPER THAN THE HOLE BOARD. "GOOD LUCK"

convergence amps possible have been blown. also check fuses and resistors on that board. it more that likely blown if fuse go. As a tech that happens to me all the time
