SOURCE: battery charger indicating that batteries

With a Pride Scooter the charger will turn green if its fully charged and if there is a bad connection in the wiring with the batteries. If you plug in the charger and the light comes on green right away then there is a problem with the wiring or connections. Take a voltmeter and read the voltage at each battery. Fully charged they should be 13-15 volts each. If they are less than 12 volts then they are not charged and the charger is not working correctly. If the batteries are really low like less than 8 volts each then the scooter might not come on at all. If you find that the batteries have at least 12 volts or more then there is a wiring problem from the rear of the scooter to the front tiller. Pride has a habit of developing problems in the harness running from the rear to the tiller. My suggestion is to contact your provider (where you got the scooter) and have them troubleshoot the scooter. If the scooter is less than a year old then it should be under warranty and your provider will have to fix it under warranty. Sorry I don't have a quick fix for you but scooters are notoriously bad to troubleshoot and repair, especially long distance. Hope this helps you

if I understanding this correctly , you cannot use the scooter why it is being charged, there is a inhibit pin that stops the scooter from being used,
All scooters are designed this way.

When ever I put on my battery on my dewalt charger the indicator light blinks faster than normal while charging

Possible reasons for this behavior:

Blinks Long (Red Light): If your battery is too hot, the charger will blink the red light rapidly and for an extended duration. To prevent this, ensure that your battery is not exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat. Give it some rest to cool down.

Blinks Short: If the battery is too cold, it will blink short and fast. This could be due to prolonged exposure to cold temperatures or the battery being idle for an extended period. Allow the battery to charge for a while or bring it to room temperature to resolve this issue.

Blinks Very Fast (Doesn't Go Away): If the light is blinking very fast and persists, it indicates that your battery has gone bad and needs replacement.

My min cota charger model mk105p is jumping from charging light to the green light in rapid ssusession

It is possible that there is an issue with the battery or the charger itself. Here are some possible reasons why your charger may be jumping from the charging light to the green light in rapid succession: Battery Compatibility: The charger may not be compatible with the specific battery you are trying to charge. Double-check to make sure that the battery you are using is compatible with your charger model. Battery Health: The battery may be damaged or defective. Try charging a different battery with the same charger to see if the same issue occurs. Charger Issues: The charger itself may be malfunctioning or defective. Check for any visible damage or loose connections. You may also want to try cleaning the contacts on the charger and battery to ensure proper charging. Overheating: The charger may be overheating, causing it to switch rapidly between the charging and green lights. Make sure that the charger is in a well-ventilated area and not covered while in use. If the issue persists, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or seek assistance from a professional technician to diagnose and resolve the problem.

On some chargers, when the light blinks rapidly, it means that the battery is bad. Try looking up charger information on-line.

How long do you charge it for

Until the green light o the charger comes on or the charge meter shows one amp or less. If the batteries were drawn down too far the 5 amp charger will NOT recover the batery. In that case seperate the batteries and charge each one with an automotive battery charger.

Batteries fine but drain fast why

A load test only checks for current - not capacity. Recheck the batteries after they run down in 2 miles for internal resistance. Chances are one of the batteries has a high resistance.
If the battery gauge comes up after running down and sitting then look for a bad or corroded battery connection at the batteries, fuse/ circuit breaker and controller power connection.

Why so long to charge cordless tools

depending on the saw you bought, (or other tool) some come with what is called a "rapid charger" and some come with a small "trickle" charger. most cordless tool batteries take about 1 to 1 1/2 hour to charge (from empty) using a rapid type, the trickle charger will take up to 8 hours to charge a battery. if you want fast, but the rapid charger, and usuallly when you buy one you can get a free battery with the deal.

Dead battery won't hold a charge

Replace battery if it doesn't hold charge. make sure, that its not getting drained by something beeing on. You can do a fast test. remove negative batery terminal and run a test light between the negative cable and battery post. see if test light comes on. If it does, you have a draw on the system thats draining the battery. Then you will need an DVOM /digital volt meter and check how many amps you are drawing out of the battery. But its probably just a dead battery. Replace it. Good luck.
